In terms of the playing squad I believe Rangers will start the new season weaker than they ended the last one. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.

Towards the end of the season Rangers were generally playing
Bell
Foster
McGregor
Zaliukas
Wallace
Murdoch
Law
Vukcic
Shiels
Miller
Clark
Boyd, McCulloch and Moshni had fallen out of favour and weren't producing. Shane Ferguson played about an hour in total
Faure, Law etc were pretty much buried on the bench.
Only Vukcic and Foster are gone. Vukcic will br missed but Foster is replaceable .Otherwise Rangers can field the lineup they ended last season with

I believe they will be stronger, certainly in terms of what we saw last year. Which positions are going to be weaker then and why?

I think Irvine is right. The good thing for the new players is they wont have to put up with 30k fans booing them each home game but just a mere 12k at home this coming season wont sound so bad.

It was only a couple of years ago that Jig was being hailed as a loyal hero by Rangers fans.

"McCulloch is undoubtedly a footballer of the agricultural variety, but...
...he has served Rangers very well in a professional manner during his entire time at the club.
Of all of them he deserves something back."
Aye he's been well paid for 8 years
That's his something back.
