Evening all, long time no speak.
May as well get straight to my point - I have lost all confidence in Harry Redknapp after recent events, and I no longer trust that he'll take us forward.
His team selections are often baffling. Kranjcar and Modric v Silva/Aguero/Nasri? Really?! I don't care if we have injuries - we had Livermore on the bench, and energetic young player who would have stuck a foot in. Instead, we have the most languid player ever in Kranjcar and Modric, who has his head fixated on other ventures (I cannot blame him, to be honest. He was probably promised big things last season in terms of success, which wasn't delivered.)
Furthermore, the issue of our strikers bugs me as well. Harry persists on playing Peter Crouch, who is the most pathetic excuse of a footballer. The second Pav or Defoe don't score, that clown is thrown in for a few games. Pav had a decent record last year, clearly the best of our strikers statistically, yet rarely gets a run in the team. He has also failed miserably to fit VdV into our team; in which case he should be dropped, and revert us back to 4-4-2, the formation used during our Champions League Qualification season.
His man management skills, which have been grossly exaggerated by the media, also leave a lot to be desired. Mocking Darren Bent in public. Freezing out Pav, Kranjcar, without a chance to prove themselves. He also seemingly has a problem with Aaron Lennon, whose body language represents that of someone who is deeply demotivated. He too has had phases in and out of the team, in spite of being one of our best weapons when utilised correctly.
Harry has also been praised for the way he re-integrated Bale into our team. Let's remember he had no choice; Benny got injured, and in the months prior to that Bale never had a sniff at action. Pure luck.
His transfer dealings have also infuriated me. He was seemingly disconnected with the two more successful transfers under his tenure, Sandro and VdV. This summer, and last, we have thus far committed to no real business, aside from borrowing Adebayor, leaving us with deadwood players and a real feeling of stagnation in the camp. The constant link with Joe Cole, which Redknapp himself has hinted at.... that signing would drive me to topping myself. We did not commit to pushing forward last summer, and we have not done so this summer either. Yes, part of the blame there lies with Levy, who seems to have bolted the chequebook shut for whatever reason.
Success should breed further success, but somewhere along the way we have gone badly, badly wrong. And I blame Redknapp, for his ineptitude in team selections, tactics, man management and transfers. Levy as well must take some of the blame.
Redknapp...... I've lost the faith.

The big 3 have arrived and are here to stay. We had one shot at sticking in the big 4 for a second season, and pushing on from there. That one shot was a striker or maybe 2 in January, like Suarez. I don't exactly know what happened, Levy looked desperate to sign but we were rejected. Some accuse or suspect him of 'token bids'.

I do think he's done well for us but he HAS to be questioned and criticised over certain things. He has far too much faith in certain players and not enough in others. Seeing Crouch's botched header only for him to be shown how it's done by Dzeko a minute later from a much more difficult chance really should spell the end for him as a starter in the team, but it probably won't.
And some of Harry's transfer targets are baffling. He appears to be obsessed in areas we don't need strengthening in and ignores those that do, and looks for average players with terrible goalscoring records. Buying Joe Cole would simply be inexcusable if he goes ahead with it.

Harry doesn't even care any more, he already has the England job lined up and a cushy job as a bbc pundit when he finishes management.
So out of his depth with a large squad, he just plays his favourites until they burnout. Also, his 'av a go tactics have well and truly been found out.

We had our chance and we blew it - but it wasn't today, or last week at Old Trafford - it was in January!

Precisely. the last 15 games of last season will haunt this club for the next 5 years.
That was our chance... and most of us knew it.

All we needed in the last 15 matches was a 3 goal win which didn't happen sadly. Something similar happened the season before with the 1-3 win at Wigan which set us on a run until the end(apart from Burnley but we'd already qualified for the CL by then) of the season. The same applies now,get a 3-0 or a good win and we'll be off again.
