It isn't as high as the £15m being reported given the euro exchange rates at the time & what they are now.
We bought him for £59.7m (74.625 euros at the time)
Sold him for £44m (63m euros)
So the loss was 11.6m euros, £8m at todays exchange rate. It's not great but not as high as people have made out.
Given most transfers across Europe will be done in euros, it will have been kept in a euro account.
I'm not disappointed with this, he obviously does not want to play for United. I said when the rumours first started that I wouldn't be too bothered if he stays or goes, nothing has changed. Obviously I would like to see a few more coming in, but only ones that want to play for the club.
I just can't wait for Saturday to roll around & get the new season under way, hoping Depay tears the league up & our defence holds firm with a decent midfield in front of them for the first time in years.
Di Maria loss is not as high as £15m

Is this Misty chap always like this? I make a point of reading a thread before telling everyone they're

Firstly, I did not call anyone that. Secondly, I credited these people with more intelligence than producing a several page thread just to subtract one meaningless number from another.
I apologise for overestimating the level of intelligence on this board. Having checked my supercomputer, it seems you are of course correct: 60-45 is indeed 15. Well done for educating us all with this fascinating factoid.

And what is it in euros

Perhaps that was where you went wrong.

Where he went wrong is that he waded in, at comment 100 and something, without having read the comments and started telling everyone they were incorrect or mistaken

Just re-read the thread. That RedMisty guy seems a tad heated and one-eyed, doesn't he?
It's bizarre how people on here can take pedantry to the extreme.
