THE GOOD
Kone, lambasted by pretty much all of us but came on and made an impact. Added a much needed spark to the game and hopefully showed Roberto that 2 strikers are needed at home games. Although credit to the gaffer for making the substitution at the right time, something that rarely occurred last season
THE BAD
Despite having a lot of the ball we simply couldn't break Watford down, something we witnessed all last season. We need a spark and we need someone close to Lukaku to get the best out of him.
THE UGLY
Defending was very poor, Howard had 3 saves to make and let 2 in, positionally we were poor at times. We play with 2 defensive midfielders but neither provided an adequate shield.
SOLUTION?
- An extra striker, we only have 2 and need more options up there. Hopefully it'll mean we play two up top more often as well
- A winger/number 10, someone who can create chances and open up teams when they're sitting back.
- A defender, give Stones and Jags a bit of competition as well as adding much needed cover
Fortunately Roberto had already recognised these problems before the game (except for Howard who he still seems to rate for some reason), we just have to hope now that he goes out and gets these players.
The next difficulty will be finding which formation and which team suits us best, 4-5-1 simply isn't working at home any more teams just sit deep and hit us on the counter.

I read somewhere that we might try to loan shaqiri with the option to buy, that would certainly help as we'd have more to spend on the other two
Approx £15m for Austin and £5-10m for a cb

I would agree with a loan to buy deal. Inter want his wages gone and we need numbers. If it doesn't work out its good for all.

Just one note on Kone.
I watched the highlights this morning and was impressed with his goal. Was not easy to see him lengthen his stride so he could hit the ball early as he ran onto it. Would have done his confidence the world of good

Shaqiri's at stoke watching the game so maybe it'll be lennon rather than him?

It's a sorry day when players are opting for Stoke over us. I heard a rumour he was at Goodison yesterday,no wonder he's chosen Stoke.

Of he was tante game yesterday then I don't blame him, our "fans" booing players every 5 minutes is a disgrace and is detrimental to team confidence

If he watched just the second half we should be okay.
We have a terrible record against promoted sides....is that the third 2-2 in three seasons?

If we do get the players we need & I really hope we do. Why wait so long? Do we have to sell to buy? Ideally transfers should be done as early as possible to give players a chance to settle.
