Huddersfield Town 1 v 2 Notts County

Huddersfield Town v Notts County

Admission Prices

Chadwick Lawrence (south) Stand
Adults: £15
Over-60s: £12
Under-18s: £5
Season Card holders: £12 on production of your 2015/16 Season Card at the turnstiles

Revell Ward Stand Lower Tier
Adults: £15
Over-60s: £12
Under-18s: £5

Revell Ward Stand Upper Tier
Adults: £17
Over-60s: £14
Under-18s: £5

I honestly think the club has made a big mistake charging these prices; £17 for adults in the Upper Tier is a ridiculous amount for the first round. Well it is in my opinion anyway. I never miss a home game but I’m not sure if I can afford to pay £17 after forking out for Hull on Saturday, think we’ll be lucky to attract 3-4,000 with these prices. I know it’s cheaper in the South Stand but I prefer to sit in the Upper Tier with people I know around me. It should have been no more than £10 in all stands.

Anyway back to the game.

Huddersfield Town welcome Notts County to the John Smith's Stadium on Tuesday night for the start of another league cup campaign. Will we be more successful in the competition than in recent years? That depends on the team selection and formation. I keep banging on that we need to play to our strengths and be more attack minded but I’m not choosing the team or tactics, Chris Powell is, and he's not listening to me

I just feel we look better going forward than we do defending (and feel this was shown in that good run of games at the end of last season)

I thought we played quite well over at Hull, especially in the second half but we still lost 2-0. County, on the other hand, won their opening game 2-0 down at Stevenage so I’m sure they’ll be on a high and well up for it. This game sees the return of old boy John Stead and while his second spell at the club wasn’t the success everyone hoped for he deserves a good reception from the home crowd. But I still hope he ends up on the losing side

In my opinion I think we have to play a full strength team tomorrow and really have a go. Will Vaughan be fit after his concussion or do we think this game will be too early for him? Apparently Scannell has said he’s fit for tomorrow, which is good as I thought we missed him over at Hull, it would be good to see Hiwula given a run out also.

I’m going to be optimistic and say 2-1 to Town in front of a crowd of 3,297.

Sorry it’s a short thread but I’ve a lot on at the moment.

A comment like that may suggest that no more new signings are going to made to the defence and it is, 'as is'. Maybe CP now realises that Town have misse the boat to sort the defence out. Give it another month and watch the defenders go off on each other and start playing the blame game. Communication and discipline is needed.

The real issue is that Town, on paper, are an attack minded outfit. However, the defence can't be trusted to defend, which will only dragged the rest of the team backwards! Goals are going to be rare as hens teeth!

Morning all

I feel sorry for Powell. Like Wetherby said, what do want this season? We are the bookies favourite for relegation. That tells it's own story. I just wish Dean would pull his head out of his arrse and realise this.

Just read that Matt Crooks missed the penalty against Hull for Accrington.
