So

OK

So we have spent the entire transfer window chasing two players who are unavailable

Pedro is a good signING
Baba is unproven

Pogba and stones are out of reach now

So I'm guessing we will sign the terrible garay as a stop gap signing and probably meireles

Cmon chelsea get these deals done

Is Stones really worth so much money? Zouma looks like a Mourinho type defender in the making but whenever I see Stones, he seems, well weak - not in a bad defender type way, just weak as in little strength.

As for Pogba, I would also have doubts over him, especially at a 100m euros. The great gain would be his home grown status. There are rumours he's already agreed to join us at Barça, but I'm hoping they're just rumours.

Having had the luxury of watching Fabregas at the Camp Nou many times, I think you are really hard on him. He is a creative midfielder, if you use him as a defensive shield he is too slow and also far too deep to effect attacking play.

dont get why people are blaming cescs form for his position. He played deep last season and got about 16 assists up to xmas in exactly the same position and was controlling games.

Its just hes been woeful this season

I am with xiuxiuejar on this one, Cesc could be more effective further up the pitch and pair Oscar with Matic

But last year, before Christmas, Cesc's position was much higher up the field. He is not a defensive shield - if you want the doble pivote - you should pair Ramires with Matic and leave Cesc free.

No it wasnt, he played alongside matic in CM/DM. Not much different to how hes played this year.

I dont get where people think he was played further up.

I accept that but Chelsea were attacking and played a lot further forward. You don't assist from in front of your own penalty area. He was halfway and further forward a lot more than after February. It's not rocket science!

Well if he and matic could pass it forward then we might have a chance jar

It is not rocket science, if we could control games again likewe did last season cesc would have more assists no doubt, but hes part of the problem, and hes playing in the same position. he's been very poor. he wasnt played higher up, its just this year he cant even get up and down the pitch

but he did not assist from his 18 yard box. Chelsea as a team played possession football at the beginning of last year but now have reverted to Mourinho's defend and counter system. Therefore, if you want the best out of Fabregas, he has to be played further up the field. He has always been too slow to play in front of a defence in a defensive line-up.
