"Jeremy Peace, the West Brom chairman, has stood his ground on behalf of the supporters. But it's Tony Pulis, the manager, who has the problem on the training ground, I think Tony would have wanted Berahino away.
"The players have the power these days with these very big contracts, and it's difficult for a manager to integrate someone back into the fold in these circumstances."

I think Albion have just shown where the power lies, Mr Pleat. A contract is a contract and is legally binding on both parties - and in this case that includes Saido Berahino.
And Tony Pulis won't have any problem, because if Saido Berahino carries out his threat, he won't be anywhere near the first team squad. It'll be just as if he's gone to Spurs but without having to face him next time we play Spurs.

Baggy bomber, don't you understand what the word 'QUOTE' means ?
Or perhaps you didn't notice.

I'm talking of your description, "thug". That's your opinion, isn't it? If you know what the concept means, that is.

Decent window, just a shame we couldn't get that little cretin out of our club

And meanwhile, no Matt Phillips, a major stated target of TP. TP'll be disappointed, but it's only 4 months till the January window, and we can line him up again. And we could offer QPR Jonas Olsson in part exchange now we've got Jonny Evans.
Interesting also that Crystal Palace bid for Charlie Austin, but he turned them down.

Another option now is Berahino could go to Spurs on loan?

Oh to be a fly on the call in Peace or Levy's office.
I am an Albion so I own to bias. Reading Peace's statement it appears he was prepared to do a deal with Levy. However it appears the bids were not what they seem with a derisory down payment and obstacles that would have made it virtually impossible to meet the "bid" of £22m.
I think wanted to sell. I'm am certain Pulis wanted him out and after today's antics Berahino will have few fans left on his side. Had things gone to plan today we would have been rid of this ungrateful "person" and Austin and Phillips might well have been our players. I even believe the London press have played their part in unsettling Berahino. Maybe Stones is made of sterner stuff.
Now the task remains to get this guy to knuckle down and play football.
