Southend V Peterborough

Posh visit the seaside to play Southend in front of the SKY cameras, with a kick-off time of 12.05pm.

Here's hoping that there will be a tidal wave of goals from the Posh. A 1-0 win, though, would do, as we need to arrest a series of poor results.

Hopefully, Robbo's criticism after the Millwall game will have been stinging enough to produce the right type of reaction against Southend.

I was relieved that nobody snapped up Maddison before transfer deadline. If we want promotion, he's not the player we should be releasing even for the rumoured £2m to a Premiership side.

C'mon lads, put on a good winning show this weekend.

UTP!

Don, you ought to beat Crewe, but beware Millwall were the wounded animals when we played them on Tuesday but they beat us to record their first home win of this season. I still think you'll beat Crewe, though, 1-0.

You're entitled to be delighted with Ajose's return - he was the perfect fit for your team. I just hope he doesn't score when we next meet.

P.S. TF, if we're slaughtered in front of the cameras on Saturday, Darragh is fully capable of ditching Robbo straight after the match. I hope not - he (Robbo) is a nice chap - sadly, nice men don't seem to last long in football management.

Good luck Robbo and the team!

Our woes continue. Can't see us just being able to beat anybody at the moment.

So Robertson is sacked deservedly. Never understood why Ferguson got sacked in the first place as we plummeted after he left and performances became worse. It would be great if DF took over once more. He has guided The Posh up leagues consistently.

What a surprise TP.if your club has any sense it will get a proven manager at this level.Nigel Pearson is available, but if he is not working then Mickey Adams would do a good job.
Hope they dont go for a cheap option..

You were right, TF. I was a little surprised because we weren't stuffed at Southend. Nevertheless, we did not shoot enough or win.

In his club statement, Darragh said, "I felt it was time to take action and make a change. It had become plain to see our young squad was under-performing and playing nowhere near their potential.Make no mistake, our players must also shoulder responsibility for this awful start to the season which has now led to a great person losing their job."

Hafi, Darren's return is definitely not the solution. He had to go when he did and I don't think would revive our fortunes.

TF, Pearson or Adams may well be the solution. They have a hunger to win, and experience. I hope Darragh (no doubt guided by fat Bazza) is prepared take on an older manager, and makes the right choice.

Meanwhile, good luck Robbo elsewhere.

I think that Robertson's sacking was no big surprise. I hope you get a good replacement (not Mark Cooper!) and kick on, there's still a lot of season left. Good luck with the search.

Sorry , but i dont think Posh will ever progress whilst a certain person is still involved with the club.
How the chairman puts up with that clown is beyond belief.

Thanks Don. Maybe Fat Bazza's days as Director of Football are coming to an end, TF.
