A slow day in the office & was browsing through the net & found this

Has anyone seen this happen before? 2 yellow cards in the same phase of play, without the ref stopping play.
TBF the 2nd foul could/should have been a straight red anyway.
Chris Baird bizarre red card last night

Red card offence means the ref must stop play, so whichever player in your riddle makes the first red card offence is the only one to get sent off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not if there is a clear goal scoring opportunity still available
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But if the ref allows advantage he can't go back and give a red.
Such as this

Clear red card offence from Cech but because of the advantage he can't be sent off.

Yes, the playing of an advantage means a goalscoring opportunity wasn't denied.

If as has been outlined, each and everyone of these fouls was indeed a red card offence, the ref still has the ability to play advantage if there is a goal scoring opportunity available.
The ref doesn't automatically have to stop play for a red card offence. There are exceptions.

But then they stop being red cards as the goalscoring opportunity hasn't been denied......

Unless, of course, it has changed again & they were all 2 footed tackles.

Only if the red cards were going to be issued for denying a goal scoring opportunity. They could have been for serious foul play.

There's a document about what refs should do.
It says that they can play advantage after a red card offence but only if there is an immediate goalscoring oppurtunity.

Both fouls are pure frustration, arguably the biggest game for Northern Ireland for 30 years and he's just seen his team concede in the most annoying way possible.

The goal was ridiculous, he would probably take it cleanly 99/100. That said, losing your head and charging around the pitch, hacking players down isn't an excuse when the stakes are so high, I think Chris Baird has shown his manager that when it really counts, he can't be relied upon.

I watched it and I think the referee there was superb! The offender should not be splitting hairs, he was petulant and stupid. He put his team in real danger last night.
