Carlton Cole has been pictured at Celtic Park for the Scottish Premiership champions' fixture against Dundee.
Speculation built that the out-of-contract striker could sign for Ronny Deila's side after being snapped entering Parkhead with the club's chief scout John Park.
STV understands that as of Sunday afternoon, no deal has been agreed.
Cole was released by West Ham in the summer after nine years with the Upton Park club, and has since been linked with a number of English clubs.
Celtic added striker Nadir Ciftci to their squad over the summer, but Cole's appearance at Parkhead could mean that Deila is looking to once again add to his attacking options
Thoughts?

Not sure he's the answer to our problems up top but it tells me RD hasn't just given up cos the window is shut.
A deal till the end of the season and see how it goes

We all give out about Ronny not having a plan B, Carlton Cole would be a good plan B.

Isn't Lustig, Forrest and Armstrong too? Therefore we could do with another option up front. Of course it's a risk but it's not a big financial one

We were at a £3m loss which does not include the money we got for Virgil

Deila would need to change to 2 up front to get the best out of big Nat.

Is this what you's are reduced to now...honestly??
Flirting with the idea of bringing in an aging Premier League reject, on costly wages, just to ensure you beat Aberdeen on the domestic front and save face in the Europa??
