Huddersfield Town v Nottingham Forest

For the first time in I can’t remember how long Town are playing on a Thursday night and in front of the dreaded Sky cameras. Thursday games will always be associated with the play offs against Peterborough all those years ago for me and the horrors of that night live long in my memory. Also, apart from the odd occasion, we never seem to perform well in front of the cameras so I can’t say I’m really looking forward to it as I hate being mocked by all the armchair fans at work the following day

Being live on Sky will probably also have an impact on the attendance despite the £15 admission fee, although the fee we receive may make up for that. I’m not sure how much we receive, does anyone know? However despite everything I’ve just said I will be there as always.

We are going into the game on the back of two good wins which has meant much of the doom and gloom surrounding the club has been dissipated. In some people’s eyes those wins may just have saved Powell’s job.

As to the line-up: I should imagine Vaughan, Murphy and Hudson will probably still be out injured, Hogg may not be fully fit yet and Paterson won’t be allowed to play against his parent club, so I presume we’ll line up the same as the last two games and each and every one of the line-up will be in the team on merit. Well, I think so anyway.

I know Miller has his critics, is never going to be prolific and looks unfit and ungainly at times but I do think he holds the line well. Wells looks short on confidence to me so a spell out may do him good or, on the other hand, it could decrease his confidence even further. I’m sure Powell will have spoken to him about his reasons for leaving him out though and it’s up to Wells to take his chances from the bench and force Powell to pick him in future.

My prediction: 3-2 to the mighty Terriers.
