who do we get if Strachan goes?

best chance of qualifying in years may have let us down but look at the group we are in ffs

I agree on fletcher but Strachan should get another crack at it.

Why should failure be rewarded with another crack at it . Aren't you sick of the cliquey squads. Players aren't picked out n merit. . Aren't you sick of us continually talking down games. Forever talking about trying not to lose and prevent the opposition playing. Wouldn't it be great to have a positive thinking manager who talked about trying to win the group before a ball is kicked instead of talking about finishing 2nds or 3rd. It's truly should destroying listening to they two talk.

Look at Wales. About 2 years ago they were 117 in the world. They 1 world class player, a couple of very good players and rest are lower league players that often struggle for first team football. But their approach is always that of winning.

In many ways we're better off than Wales. We don't have a Bale but we have a greater pool of players to choose from and most of our top player ply their trade in the EPL starting week in week out

Players like Adam and McCormack could genuinely have made the difference for us in the past couple and the impending game v Poland.

Fletcher is absolutely terrible. Offers nothing, literally nothing.

Terrible swuad selections.

But I agree with Keny, we need to giv these guys another shot and hopefully they can learn from their mistakes (as much as I doubt it). In an easier group we'd be sailing through based on this campaign's performances. Could easily be where Northern Ireland are had we got such a comparitively easy group.

But our whole footballing philosophy reside in the drawer marked "shiiiitebags" and "managerial self preservation".

At some point we have to start going for it and stop trying to stop the opposition. At some point we have to take it into our own hands and trust our players. At some point we have to start picking our best players. It's beyond a joke that we continue to make the same mistakes campaign after campaign and trot out the same old excuses.

I'm not strachans biggest fan but given the likes of burley, levein etc before him I think he has more chance than most.

Advocaat is available. Just left Sunderland. Is an outstanding manager. Knows our game and teams. It's a part-time job so would be n boot her for him while semi-retired.

I pm done with the negative attitude of Scottish managers towards qualification.

Rhodes won't start
Adam not in squad
McCormack not in Squad

Forrest will start, brown will star. If mulgrew fit he would've started. Fletcher will start yet doesn't score goals.

Strachan picks players out of loyalty and ex-allegiances rather than best players. He has a rigid system that doesn't take into app count the opposition. Forever talking the importance of games down. Still can't bring themselves to say we MUST beat Poland. It was because of this totally apathy that we performed so abjectly against Georgia.

If we picked our best players we would line up some thing like

McGregor

Bardsley. Martin. Hanley Robertson

Adam. D.fletcher

Ritchie Naismith Anya

Rhodes

A 4-2-3-1 that can easily adapt to 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 as needed. But we know who his favorites are irrespective of form.

Let's put it in perspective. When Hooper was playing very well for Celtic and banging in goals, what was the reason he didn't get selected for England. Because he was scoring against poor quality opposition/defenses. Yet we continue to pick players who have failed in Europe and in john Collins words aren't tested domestically. All at the expense of better EPL players.

That's why we need a new manager, a new approach and a new philosophy towards our football. That's why I'd go for someone like Advocaat.

Time to stop rewarding failure with a new contract. It's not acceptable. We're sick of failure and shouldn't continue to accept being the nearly men
