Peterborough V Doncaster

Fergie Jnr returns to London Road with his new side Doncaster, buoyed no doubt by their mid-week away win at Shrewsbury.

Our game against Wigan was an exciting one, and I can see that being repeated on Saturday.

Our Turkish Messi, little No. 10 Oztumer, was substituted towards the end of Wednesday's game as he had an injury. Let's hope it wasn't too serious, as we will need his wizardry. Another little player, No. 7 Taylor, was man-of-the-match on Tuesday.

Here's hoping, though, that Maddison will make an appearance, as he can wreak havoc.

In view of our respective positions, this will be a should-win for the Posh. Fergie, though, may have a bit of revenge on his mind - will his dad return to London Road for the match, I wonder.

Anyway, here's hoping for a bounce-back win for the Posh.

UTP!!

I suppose if "respective positions" dictated results, the order of teams in the table would never change. Form is surely more important.

Now, having said that, Rovers form may be seen as up and down, but in possibly a rather fragile way, "up" at the moment.

Having looked at Posh's recent results they too are somewhat up and down, possibly most recently "down", so it will make for an interesting encounter, but as you say, we will hope it will be an entertaining one at least.

I think entertainment is guaranteed, Donaldo, and we are due an up.

Posh's chairman and managers work on two key principles. First, they work with players who share their hunger and determination to improve, which means putting their faith in youngsters. Second, they believe in football as an entertainment business.

These are two principles that have contributed to new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's past success. What Posh need to borrow now from Klopp is his trademark style of "gegenpressing" (counter-pressing) - a ferociously high-tempo strategy under which players press for the ball, then counter-attack the moment they win it. At the moment, we are concentrating too much on consolidating possession and not counter-attacking quickly enough.

Let's see what happens on Saturday.

Looking forward to listening tomorrow Thorney, but as always we hope for a win for us and, and you for Posh.

Let's hope it is as exciting a game as everyone thinks it will be.

Hi Thorney. Donny are on the up so a tough one today, I predict 1-1. We are at home to Coventry and although we have a couple of players likely to be back on the bench I can see nothing other than a continuation of our downward spiral with yet another home defeat. Our hunt for a manager continues, not Dickov I hope!

A great result, though very much against a team having an off day. We were superb in the first half.

Oztumer is a star. His passing and vision are incredible. In addition, he score a good goal.

Nice to see Washington score an even better goal, as he tries so hard.

Don, you must be happy with your result today - Coventry are no slouchers.

Snapski, my commiserations.

Great result for you Thorney. For us given our current form scoring twice in the last five minutes to get a point against a good Coventry side is a bit like winning the FA Cup final. Perhaps it'll help us turn the corner.
