Wouldn't it be better to get KO of Champions League and then make a run at the Europa League with some fringe players... keeping the main squad fit for the Premier League...
I'd much prefer to focus on the BPL and Europa this year.. And forget about the UCL altogether..
And we're we to win both the above mentioned.. Would help the players get into habit of consistently winning trophies each season..
Then next year you'd be seeded 1st in your UCL group.. And as champions of the BPL there would be some backbone towards chasing 4 trophies.. I.e. Get over the 'bottlers' tag for once and all.
Anyone else see the logic in this?
We won't win the UCL anyway. And not the BPL unless we keep main players fit for most part.

Has some merits to it but will we be seeded first in we win the prem but finish. 4th in the CL group

If we don't qualify from the group then I would rather not be in Europe whatsoever.
We already have long term absencees in Wilshere, Welbeck, Rosicky, Arteta and probably even Ramsey.
We don't have the squad to compete for too many competitions because we have such an injury prone squad.
When we have an injury, it's never days or weeks. It's always months.

Of course you can win the CL, on your teams day you can give the bigger teams in Europe a run for there money

Yes. Champions of top 8 ranked leagues are 1st seeds from now on.. Eg. PSV and Zenit this year.

Yeah or even that.. But I reckon we won't finish 4th.. Either 2nd or 3rd now.. So no option but go straight into Europa if 3rd...
Would be good to get game time for likes of Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Gibbs, Bielik, Oz, Adelaide.. And the injured players to come back like Welbeck, Rosicky, Wilshere and Arteta..
That way you're only using 3/4 1st team players... And it would be a genuine crack at a European trophy..
We stand little chance of competing in the UCL.. No way we would have beaten Bayern if a) we both had 6 pts already.. And b) it was the first leg of a KO stage tie.. Cmon. Don't be silly.

Even if we do get knocked out of the CL can't see us winning the league something will stop us it always does.

I actually wouldnt mind europa. European success has always eluded us. And i dont think chelsea, atletico or sevilla fans complained about winning it. English teams opinion on europa league has always been poor. Its a competition we would be straight into the knockouts and would have a good chance of winning. Coming from the cl im sure its only 2 more games than the CL anyway? If were in it and get a couple of good draws we could be in the quarters without playing the full first team
