I have said before that I always thought an away win should receive more points but seemingly stats dictates otherwise.

It might be a little awkward but the fairest way would be to delegate points from a nominated bookies odds.

Home win, away win and draw should all get the same points but Wendy wanted to base his scoring system on the old pols coupon.

Maybe 3 points for correct score and 1 point each correct outcome. It would make some sense.
However, we all knew the scoring system before the games started so there is no point debating it now. May be worth looking into for next season though if a similar competition is run?

Whatever the points system the outcome is the same

That was the system (like the old Beeb predictor) in the comp Sunny's replaced, the issue with the dodgy scoring system was raised before the first season of this but instead of changing it he introduced the one third rule.
