At the risk of inviting the obvious, seriously,theEverton Forum seems to have fallen into a sad decline from one which,once upon a time, used to enjoy serious,enjoyable, highly spirited exchange, from the downright rude, to the informative and truly humorous.Yet this site does not stand alone. Is this indicative of the malaise that threatens Football?
Is this just a reflection of the sad decline that seems to have affected british sporting achievement;The dominance of monetary influence and the unfortunate attitude displayed by Footballing Authorities, Clubs, Chairmen, Officials and the Media, towards the paying public, or,are we beginning to see sense, by showing our displeasure by making our feelings known and by taking delight in the Minnows,displaying their real affection and dedication to the Game as shown by Salford in the F.A.CupTie last night.

I blame PlayStations and Xboxes. When I were a lad it was jumpers for goal posts and your ACCA was a carbon copy you had to uncrumple and bend to your local bookmakers. Now it is click click, bet in play now.

Admin. We were posh. We had a bookies runner,i think it was his wife, aged about 70,(it could have been his mum) used to ride a bike with a leather satchel over her shoulder. she used to collect and pay out.
She wouldnt survive more tha two minutesnow.

To put it simply,it's supposed to be a site to debate sport but admins have suppressed debate by multiple bans and pampering to the weak.
It seems that those that go grassing to admins when things go wrong are treated better than those that don't snitch and take abuse like adults.
This site is going downhill fast,some days there are hours that go by without any new articles being submitted.
I rarely log in now and it's even rarer that I contribute,let those that are more equal than others remain to run the site,driving out new contributors by crying 'sock account'.

I agree with Phil, plus posters aiming posts towards others and moaning about others became tiresome.

What happened to this site was too many people some a little less mature than others should we say (without pointing fingers), who appeared to like dishing it out but then resorted to pure nastiness when the conversation went against them. Hope this answers your question. Good article by the way.
