Is De Gale.. he's got the resume, the fights, the experience, and ultimately the World title to back him up.. on paper.
But I'd say that Callum Smith is hot on his tails.
And I'd also pick Smith to win if they fought next week or next month. His power and range would be the decisive factor, together with his boxing brain.
I can't wait for their inevitable fight toward the end of next year/early 2017. It'll be another huge domestic dust up, at World level.

It's ridiculous to say that Smith would beat Degale. What's that based in?
Degale has it all as a fighter :
He's slick
Very quick
Fast mover
Has power
A great chin
Smith has been knocking out unknown static fighters and he has not been near anyone Degales level.

Difficult to catch Degale and apart from the tight Groves fight has done nothing wrong and fights as though there is more in the tank. Smith is not ready for Degale yet and would be outpointed comfortably so he would have to stop him and cannot see that yet.

Bold statement and typical of those who are wowed by aggressive fighters.
Smith would be like a Lamb to the slaughter if they fought next week or next month.
Degale hits hard and has speed and better technique not to mention a CV of top class boxers. Degale also said hr is used to bigger fighters when in the gym.
Degale out points him decisively.
