Birmingham City 0 v 2 Huddersfield Town

BIRMINGHAM CITY V HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER

KICK OFF 3PM

St Andrew’s

Post Code for SAT NAV: B9 4RL

For those arriving early The Frankfurt Christmas Market is on again in the New Street Shopping Precinct and may be worth a look but will probably be packed.

Anyway back to the football.

Well here we go again on our travels, and this time we’re taking our gegenpressing to Birmingham. Birmingham are going really well this season and I think they may just be a good bet for a play-off place. I believe Gary Rowett has them well organised and they currently sit 6th in the table with 28 points compared to our 21st with 15 points. However I’m not downhearted as I truly believe under Wagner our results will start to improve and match the performances we are putting in.

The difference in style and effort under Wagner is amazing. Gone is the boring football we had got used to and we are now starting to play a high intensity passing game which, in my opinion, is good to watch. However, although we are creating chances we are still failing to put the ball in the net. Honest opinions everyone, do you think the system we are now playing will suit Wells and he’ll start to score? In fact will anyone ever score again?

I imagine the team will be pretty much same as last week. Chilwell impressed me enormously; he was so composed for an 18 year old and can only get better the more games he plays for us. Hopefully we can get him for the rest of the season.

As we all know Vaughan has gone on loan to Birmingham but won’t be allowed to play against us on Saturday, which is good because you could just guarantee he would score.

I am feeling more optimistic now, as even I had started to lose interest in the latter stages of Powell’s tenure. Whether that was partly due to my son’s constant moaning I don’t know

I like going to Birmingham for some reason, feels like a proper away day if you know what I mean.

Anyway my prediction: 2-1 to us. We have to win sometime so might as well be on Saturday.

I’m going to try to put this on the Birmingham board, hope we get lots of banter.

We've had two very cool and wet days here in Perth, it's supposed to be summer. 😳

Read it. He comes across as being very hard working, ambitious, determined and committed. Just what we need.
