Honestly, I don’t understand why people are so calm in regards to what is going on at arsenal. For the past 6-7 years, we have watched and waiting patiently for wenger to fix things. That is plenty of time if you ask me. How can a top four club, one of the bigger clubs in Europe in terms net worth etc justify not signing a single outfield player in the summer?
The only reason to justify not signing a single outfield player is if you truly believe that with what you have, you can easily walk the league and the champion’s league. Did any of us really believe that? NOO, so why should our manager (who is being paid millions) believe this. Look at the elite teams for eg, Barca, Bayern etc they all strengthened. They didn’t need to, but they did. Because as a team you need to keep moving forward. Replace older players, add more versatility, improve on your weaknesses. But not arsenal. We are happy with the same nonsense all season
Every transfer window is the same. I can predict it before the window even opens.
Month 1= People complain that their haven’t been any transfer, and the likes of godfather and co snap and say its only the 1st month give it time.
Month 2 = More people complain lead to more people saying be patient.
Last week= More people complain and the same wenger defenders come out and say give it till the last day
Last day= People say give it till the last hour.
Last hour= Nothing, or Loan an injured player, or sign Welbeck. And there is an uproar for about a week and that’s that. When was the last time anyone can tell me that they true believed we straightened enough to challenge?……………… I’ll wait
This has been the case for the past 7 years. I don’t understand how people haven’t seen the pattern. As a football club/ business, what ever you are, you have to move forward by investing to better your self. And personally I haven’t seen us doing that for years now. I am not just blaming wenger, who knows what’s going on behind the scenes. Maybe there is something they are not telling us. Maybe we don’t have the money to buy, maybe players don’t want to come to arsenal. But either way the board needs to come out and state their ambition, so we as fans know where we stand. I can’t keep getting my hopes up every season, yet to be disappointed before mid season
And people keep defending Wenger about the injuries. Please stop now. If you drive the same car everyday for 10 years eventually it will break down. That’s why you need 2 cars to rotate and make the other car last you longer. This is the problem with our players. They play 3 times a week in some cases, no rest, no rotation. Off course they are going to fatigue and burn out making them more prone to injuries. This is you buy. The fact that championship clubs show more ambition than us is quite embarrassing.

Yes, there is the Stanley Kroenke problem to deal with, the low maintenance owner who has had a solid educating in Wengerism. It leaves a big unknown as to how we will cope in a post Arsene era.
Having said that, I just want to see a new fresh approach at Arsenal for so many reasons. It's worth the risk.

If you actually analyse this Arsenal squad, its one of the weaker ones in Arsene Wengers reign. I honestly don't know why Arsenal are being hyped so much, I thought you were a better side last season as well in all round performances.

You must mean the genuine world class players in Ozil nd Sanchez, or hw about Englands best players just about every time they play in Walcott, Wilshere and Welbeck, or maybe our defenders.

On paper our midfield and defence is considerably stronger then Arsenals. Its just your attack that is better.

Cech is the better keeper.
Smalling and Kos are the best defenders by a distance.
Bellerin has made a far bigger impact than Darmian although hes new to the league and an excellent player so could turn out better.
Monreal no contest.
Coq no contest.
Ozil no contest.
United's 10 man defence is good but not great.
However because we failed to sign any players and have massive injury problems: United > Arsenal atm.

Coquelin can't get into France squad due to Schneiderlin, Man Utd had Pogba not get into our squad under SAF but he turned out great.
Man Utd 10 man defence must be a first, I reckon no team plays in the opposition half as much as Man Utd since LVG took charge. This season I think it is not even a contest that Man Utd had the highest amount of territorial possession this season. When teams play an 8-1-1 formation against our 2-6-2 formation it means all teams are waiting for is a quick counter attack goal. If you actually analyse where most of our goals we concede come from is when we lose concentration defensively and leave a space and the opposition get in behind and score from one simple pass because we play a risky game just like Pep Guardiola had with Barcelona. We compress the pitch virtually in the opposition half.
The majority of our games we pass in the opposition half and most teams just sit back letting us have the ball as they know if they get it we will win the ball back so all they do is sit back and wait for one or two moments to counter attack.

Possession is a waste of time if you don't use it properly, stats look good when continually passing backwards but Utd dont have the thrust or guile up front any more. Nobody has the ability to beat a man or thread a killer pass, just looks like robots on a training exercise.

We are considerably better than Manchester United. Hence the fact we smashed them to pieces earlier this season.
Unfortunately we're being let down off the field. Be that poor investment or poor treatment of our players. This is possibly the most frustrating season so far, if our injury crisis was resolved either through new medical/training staff or adequate squad replacements, we 100% would win the league.
However, it is the same old bol|ocks. Ifs, buts and maybes.
