Let's have no more GB articles please!
If ever a result puts in to perspective where we are then this is it. We are a team that can easily be beaten by any other team in the Premier League home or away. There is very little in terms of individual players who can lift the gloom, Coutinho is one and Sturridge is the other. Other than than that it's as Harry observed we are bang average.
Forget the top four challenge and hope to hell that Klopp stays long enough to carry through the huge changes that are required to lift our team from gutless also rans to title contenders. I wouldn't even know where to point because the players are mostly not good enough in terms of skill or in terms of Brendan's favourite phrase 'character'.
I honestly can't think of a harder job in club football given the misplaced expectation. We are half a world away from the glory days where the players guts and skill kept us well ahead of the opposition for years.
One plus, the manager and that's it. Certainly not good enough for LFC.
Half a world away

Out of all the top 4 challengers Liverpool are by far the weakest. I think Spurs, Palace, United are all better. I would say Liverpool are on a similar level to everton

GB dont ever predict a result or a title challenge here. You are like a witch.

Klopp is what our little hopes are clinging onto. We have a squad that needs to be overhauled and replaced with better players.
The appeal for new quality players to want to play for Klopp will only go so far though, who on earth would want to play for us after the last three performances?
He has his work cut out, we need to find three or four absolute gems in the summer, it's a big ask.

GB is a jinx no doubt about it. You always write articles on Liverpool getting results and it always comes back to bite you

We really need a good CB, goalkeeper who are commanding and a powerhouse midfield player to have a platform to build on.

When Klopp first arrived it gave the squad a real boost and very good performances against Chelsea and City examplified this.
The honeymoon period has quickly evaporated and although Klopp knew he had a lot of work to do straightaway he now realises it needs a lot more than a few tweaks here and there.
Rodgers has left him with a bit of a mess in all truthfulness, a job that is going to take a while to sort out.
But he will do so.

GB
As I said 3 weeks ago getting results against the lesser teams has been the reason Liverpool are where they are. No point beating city and Chelsea when you only get one point from Newcastle West Brom and Norwich.

We are just as bad GB. It's not a dig it's just the sad reality of both our clubs. We only gained 4 points from 9 against Newcastle West Brom and Southampton.
So a total of 18 points available for Liverpool and Spurs over the last 3 games and we tally 5 miserable points.

Got_Better vs Aggers Right Elbow. Two polar opposites. Mr Optimistic and Mr Pessimistic.
While I can see both sides of the story, (GB on what Klopp will bring and ARE on the reality of the status of the current squad), I would say that there would be more cause for optimism in the near future as Klopp learns the league and brings in his players, but right now we have to make do with a squad which holds far too many bottlers in it for my liking and whose prone to panic at the sniff of danger leads to countless, needless errors. Until this is rectified then Klopp will certainly have his work cut out.
Although, I can see the recent defeats and lacklustre performances leading to more activity in January now, which is a good thing at least.
That said, It is not entirely the players fault though, as Klopp seemingly also has quite a bit to learn in dealing with more physical, well organised sides that are more prevalent in the Premier League. It was frustrating to see the same repeat lackadaisical performance against Watford as was at Newcastle, and I hope this doesn't become a habit and Klopp quickly learns from his mistakes.
I am more confident that Klopp will figure out a solution to this than I ever was when Rodgers was in charge. Let's just hope it's sooner rather than later! Not sure how much more of those type of performances I can take ha.
