Sheff Utd

Game tomo. What sort of team do you reckon we'll go for and put out? Result? Etc.

By the looks of it, they are four points off the league 1 play off places.

This should be straight forward but teams like this usually give us problems and the way we're playing atm there's certainly the potential for it to be a banana skin.

This is our only real hope of a trophy and tbh I hope we put out a strong side as possible and go for it. It's been far too long that this club hasn't won an fa cup.

It's a tough one to call.

We have Newcastle on Tuesday [who have been great of late] and then Liverpool on the Sunday - 3 games in 8 days!

...........

I suspect it means

" Ashley was attacking with intent, and that will not do as it is anti philosophy".

Seriously though, I never hear any other managers going on about 'red zone'. and if so many of them are in this zone, perhaps his squad isn't big enough, or the training is too demanding for this time of year with the present fixture schedule?

Sheff.Utd have done well in the cups the past couple of years, getting to the semi's of the Capital One last season and the FA Cup the season before.

This has got "upset" written all over it IMO, they're a League 1 team but they'll fancy their chances and give it a go I'm sure...which is depressing.

We should play a strong team, try and win the competition, doubt it's on the club's agenda though.

Wenger is always going on about the red zone. Big Sam has been known to talk about it too. It's not just an LVG thing

Yeah... some fans are still stuck in the '80s... Or maybe they just feel the need to criticize everything the manager does/says... Either way it's sad...

I would go:

DDG
Varela
Smalling
McNair
Blind

Carrick
Herrera

Depay
Mata
Pereira

Rooney

A rest for Martial.
Keep Rooney in the team and hope he gets on a bit of a scoring run
Mata at No 10
Depay on the right
A game for Pereira and I think he'd do well on the left side of attacking three. Blind can overlap.
