DIAGOURAGA FEE AGREED

Apparently Leeds have agreed a fee with Brentford...

Pity, he looked like he would have been a good addition to the team.

Sure would have been good but plenty more fish in the sea. Not that he's old but would have been an increase in the squads average age...

we'll live.

As soon as any English clubs are interested in any of our targets we can pretty much forget it. The money in the English game is just disgusting.

We'll still win the league regardless.

So we move on to the next target, happens to every club during the transfer window that you dont necessarily get your 1st picks, especially during the January window.

Should bring crooks in early

One player that we needed and we lose out because the incompetence of our negotiators. Although by the same token if the same folks cost us ohalloran then it'll even itself out.

Hopefully mcparland and warbs can find a good cheap alternative.

Agree Bluenose but why does Warburton Players and Rangers in general have to go public about targets' Why not just keep their big mounths closed and annouce it on the Home Page. Looks as though we will lose out on O'Halloran and the Latvian with the same tactics. Sure maybe other targets but I think we need a goalscorer - what happens if we get a couple of serious injuries playing in these stupid winter conditions without a break or get suspensions? We also need a defensive mid-fielder to ensure the title. Thoughts?

Confirmed he's gone to Leeds.

"Patrick Viera II" though… I think not perhaps… lol

I don't remember Warburton or Rangers ever saying they were interested in either of the two players the press bang on about ! St Johnstone keep on about O'Halloran but haven't heard Warburton confirm.

Leeds paid £1.5 million for him.

An English lower league standard player who is closing in on his 30s.

There is no chance that the people running our club now would go for that deal, even if we had the money.

I suspect we are only looking at players that will command a decent fee if they were sold after coming to Rangers or an older player on a very low priced deal or for free such as John Eustace.

Diagouraga may have been a decent player if we had got him but we would never get £1.5 million plus wages worth of results from him and he would never be sold for a higher fee in the future.

Plus, for years we have moaned about over paying for players. In this instance, we made an offer and decided against throwing too much money into the mix when other targets will be out there.

No great loss for me.

Leeds got a 4m windfall and splashed

My worry is there's not another target at this stage..it is a position we all wanted filled
