So its time for ratings for me on the series against S Africa -
Ben Stokes - 10/10 - Brilliant!! Man of the series by far and the biggest plus for England
Stuart Broad - 9/10 - Fabulous. Best bowler and an inspiration. He has earnt his number one place in the world
Joe Root - 8/10 - Excellent though could have gone on a few times and scored a few more. But still Englands best pure batsman
Jonny Bairstow - 8/10 - Second best bat for England and improving as a wicket keeper. Good to see he is looking for advice to improve. It will take something special for Buttler to get back in
Moeen Ali - 7/10 - Not bad. Last test was the only batsman to actually TRY. But maybe I'd play him higher up so he isn't just hanging around with the tail
Steven Finn - 7/10 - Looked very good and was missed in the last test. Hopefully will now share the new ball with Broad as I think he could get even more wickets. Sorry Jimmy
Jimmy Anderson - 6/10 - I am being generous. Looked a shade out of sorts but hopefully regained some of his form in the last test
Alastair Cook - 5/10 - Led well but very poor batting. Got out too many times when he looked set. Need more from our openers all round though
James Taylor - 4/10 - Needs persevering with. Looked good at times
Nick Compton/Alex Hales - 1/10 - Very poor. Need to go I think.
Chris Woakes - 0/10 - Even worse. NOT a genuine test bowler.

Did Compton win man of the match, Plank? Did ANY of the commentary team or any other reporter PRAISE Compton? no, because it was an ok innings at best which helped England. However the way he plays the majority of the time makes it harder for the rest of the team to keep the run rate going therefore harder to win the game. It's not rocket science. I have been watching cricket for 40 years U2,how about you? I have been to every cricketing nation to see a test match have you? And the fact is that no one else disagrees that moeen NOT Compton won us the game. To disagree shows what lack of knowledge YOU have

Totally agree with Doc n lefty.. Mr. U whoever comes across quite arrogant n childish that's why I never comment on his crapy articles. I have noticed that he deletes comments if folks don't agree with his opinion. Kinda a 2yr old tantrums n atleast doc handled his stupid comments quite well. He sure does love laurel n hardy of JA 606 n they are now the only ones jumping with him in his la la land.

oh dear ladies. You want to give Compton a score of 1, then be happy and give it. The fact that he helped to win that first test aside, and a decent enough 2nd test, doesn't matter.

Compton may deserve a slightly higher score on the Test SERIES (you keep banging on about one test U2 when my marks were for the full series!) He may even have helped to win the first test.One thing I am sure of U2 though....you're an utter plank.
