Preston North End 2 v 1 Huddersfield Town

Sky Bet Championship
Deepdale, 6 February 2016 Kick Off 3pm

"It will be perfect if we are able to score the first goal." David Wagner

Wagner is desperate for a clean sheet, but seems resigned to seeing a goal or two being created by Preston.

Simon Grayson and his PNE team currently sit three places above Town and four points ahead. Even if Town beat PNE, they can potentially gain only one placing. The league is getting tighter as the season progresses and Town have lost two league matches on the bounce. In this moment the fans confidence may have tailed off.

For those who may not know, Town made a signing in the latter stages of the transfer window. Not a defender, nor a striker, but a winger! However, his name is Elvis and he may be Town's amazing grace! Oh, he's on loan too.

I feel more confident going in to this match with the availability of more attack minded players, Manu, Matmour and Hiwula, yes Jordy has finally arrived at the John Smith's Stadium. Wagner will be working on a full throttle formation and game plan. However, in the moment it possibly fails, he will be full throttling the players!

Huws is injured, along with Scannell, both won't be making a return for a while, four and two weeks respectively.

I have suggested a 5-3-2 formation and I only think it's the way to go in regard to attacking and defending. The current formation/system seems flawed, as recent opponents seem to cope with the full throttle and gegenpressing and just hit the lads on the break.

Has anyone heard if Chilwell will return to Town?

Five facts about Preston.

1: Preston has one of the largest bus stations in Europe.

2: The M6 is the Preston bypass. It took the record as the first motorway construction in the country.

3: If you visit Friargate, you have to come to Black Horse pub. It is the only pub in the city which has three public exits and entrances on three different streets.

4: John Inman is another Preston man. He was famous as the Mr. Humphries in Are You Being Served.

5: The record of the highest ever score in English football was taken by Preston North End. The club beat Hyde United in FA Cup on October 15, 1887, the final score 26-0!

One final fact, the Terriers will be the victors 2-1! UTT!
