My Grandfather was the top scorer for 3 seasons on the bounce for Leicester City....

He would be loving it right now.

Arro has taken nothing but stick for his

Insight
Experience
Foresight
Optimism
Excitement

And most of all his opinion of frailty and naivety of opposition.

Yeah he blazes the big 'We Are' Dya know what? GOOD! !!!

It's got people's backs up because they're teams been trying it for decades and not done it... TOUGH

How long you been out in Oz? (Though I think you recently said you were out in Japan?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Been here six years, lived in China and Japan before I emigrated. I speak both to a functional level and i went to Uni to study Japanese and got distinctions for my first two semesters and then couldn't afford it, it's $2300 for a semester because I'm not a citizen.

I really want to become fluent in one and now i'm leaning towards Mandarin, ultimately I want to be an interpreter. I have no problem being understood and I'm told my accent is really good. I can switch from Chinese, Japanese and Polish and have mastered the accent for each. It's something I'm good at and have a massive interest in. Bit jealous of you mate ha ha 👍

Jealous but unlike others, I don't insult you, I just tell you I'm a little jealous instead 😉

What do you teach?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I taught English, at a uni in China and kindy in Japan. My first class in China I had 106 eyes fixed on me and when I walked in it was whistles and cheering and girls blushing. They weren't used to foreigners and escpecially not blokes with long hair and facial hair.

I had one guy in Tianamen Square come up to me and rub the hairs on my arms, I asked him what he was doing and he said "ive never seen hairs on arms" and showed me his and then stopped everyone and showed me their arms.

I enjoyed teaching Kindy though, I like kids when they're three to five, it's a great age for learning. They're like sponges and no doubt loads of these little kids are pronouncing words like I do ha ha it's a good feeling seeing their language skills develop over a few years.

Cool. Been in China a couple of times - only enough to get a taster but loved it, wouldn't have minded trying it out for longer but it's not an option now.

I teach English too, but adults only. I was asked recently if I'd be willing to teach English for primary school kids in the Waldorf system, but I haven't got the appropriate training and think I'd be well out of my depth.

Awesome mate 👍

You're teaching the right age group mate, kids are fun and it is rewarding but it's better to teach adults.

Viewed from the outside, I'd guess it's good with younger kids 'cos they're so eager to learn anything, but most seem to lose interest as they get older.

I like teaching adults, but wouldn't mind smaller kids if I had the skills & know-how. Don't want to go anywhere near teenagers though.

Yeah teens wouldn't be fun. To be honest i don't really like kids when they get to maybe six onwards, they start developing attitudes then and can become defiant. Ive taught from three to 12 and the best age is three to five, without a doubt.

My dad lived in Japan for several years and always told me that it was fantastic and a must see.

Despite a crazy amount of traveling i still haven't made it to Japan strangely, did spend a month in China and the ladies do love a westerner thats for sure, always wanting to 'practice English' whilst queueing for a burger.
