I think it's because we're trying to discover potential, rather than going out and buying established players.
I quite agree with the philosophy, and it's worked well for us in the past, but we're not very good at it right now.

Saunders has the most annoying face in history.
I hated him before he came to Wolves.
Jackett's face is beginning to irritate me. Doesn't help that my son keeps texting me photos of him after a bad result interspersed with pics of Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris. Teenage humour!

Sometimes hear people moaning about their place of work, saying their face doesn't fit. Maybe they work with Roger
I admit I am very prejudiced against people whose face I find annoying. Isn't always fair but it right was in the case of Saunders.

Why was he re-called from brighton? Where he supposedly played well..he looked ok on the televised game for brighton against qpr
We dont need anymore wingers...its a defence we need, but i am willing to give him a chance

You seem to be quite unpredictable at home. I know you beat us the other week, but since then you lost to Ipswich, and in the game before ours, were beaten by Cardiff. Other defeats include Leeds and Bristol City. Having said that, you've had some really good away wins. You're a bit of a curate's egg in a way.

Were all or nothing...usually nothing...we throw the kitchen sink at teams and if we dont score first we usually get caught at the back...thats why we are a bit miffed regarding la parra
Its also tradition to be involved in a relegation scrap and we are doing our best to become involved

I don't think he was recalled from brighton. his loan deal expired as far as I remember. and brighton made it clear that they weren't interested in buying him. no surprise, as he isn't very good and probably expects a reasonable wage based on what wolves signed him on.
am sure he'll be back from Huddersfield as well and we will have to deal with him in the summer. probably another big loss in terms of fee and wages compared to what we've had out of him. KJ's account is not looking particularly healthy if you take out the afobe profit - and frankly a fecking idiot could have spotted afobe was a decent prospect given he'd already scored a load of goals. no more skillful scouting than buying SEB after he had smashed in a bundle of goals.

I assume you're referring to Afobe. I'd count him as an established player as he was only in the lower leagues as an out-on-loan player from Arsenal.
I think the club has been looking for "potential" from the lower leagues, who are going to step-up and have an impact at the club, in the way that previous discoveries such as Kightly, Jarvis, and Edwards did.
I loved it in the day when we used to buy established players, but those days have gone for the moment.
