This could be intersting.....

A number of clubs, including Wolves are said to be keeping tabs on Newcastle striker Adam Armstrong.

Armstrong is currently on loan at Coventry City .
Armstrong has held talks with Rafa Benitez, but at this stage there's no official word as to what plans the new Newcastle manager has for the player.

Armstrong is a 19 year old 5ft 7in striker who has played 32 games this season scoring 19 goals.He's represented England at U16's 17's 18's and 19's,In total playing 33 games,scoring 21 goals.

Might be worth a punt in the summer.

Stale, Tommy Docherty, Brian Little, Graham Hawkins, Kenny Jackett, Glenn Hoddle, Dave Jones, Mark McGhee, Colin Lee, Graham Taylor, Dean Saunders, Graham Turner, Ian Greaves, Bill McGarry (Mk2), Sammy Chapman, Clipboard.

Which of those were greater than Mick over the last 35 years?

Who said he wasn't better for wolves than any of those?

You said Mick isn't a Wolves great because he hasn't repeated any success since he left Wolves. I have just pointed out those managers (Stan Cullis, Bill McGarry and Graham Turner) didn't have any success after they left Wolves, so by your logic you cannot consider them great in any context.

You keep calling me 'sonny jim' though. Shows how you have to resort to patronising names when you have no argument.
==============================

I suggest you actually read what I post and not twist it to suit your agenda. He was NEVER a "great" manager in my view and never will be. As I have stated on more than one occasion...........he is a decent one at this level. He has achieved nothing at Ipswich despite starting with pretty much what he had with us and they are two separate issues. Unfortunately, you persist in trying to emulate others with your agenda towards me.

By the way, I get called all sorts of names, but it's water off a ducks back to me. When you get older, you too will learn to ride those comments. Didn't realize you'd be so emotional.

Er - Ipswich were rock bottom, and cut adrift with just 7 points.

When he took over at Wolves, the club had just finished the season in 7th place.

Hardly similar.

I actually fancy Wolves to win when we play them next. The law of averages says that it's bound to happen eventually, and we've just had a good result at Burnley, so our confidence should be high.

Not emotional. I actually like it, as it enhances my argument as you have to besmirch me personally rather than argue a point. Shows I am getting to you as you have to get emotional and lash out. When you finally grow up, you'll realise you don't need to call people names.

I haven't twisted anything, just applied your logic to other managers in Wolves' history. If you don't like it, it shows your logic is flawed.

It must feel like xmas to you at the moment with the fixture list, last week a host of ex wolves and you begging for wardy to have a blinder so you can say 'i told you so', shame it didn't work out for him and he struggled to contain Wallace though.

Next up you can't even contain your excitement at the hope of McCarthy stopping us winning and then banging out really weak statistics about not beating them in a colossal three games(two of which they couldn't win either).

Love how in these games you quickly state your case that we should beat them as well

I think you must have missed where I said: "I actually fancy Wolves to win when we play them next."

I want Wolves to win every game they play, which is why I spent many years travelling all over England and Wales, (plus Scotland for a friendly), following them.

I am confident we will beat Ipswich, and I don't think I'm alone with that belief.

Your comment about wanting Ward to "have a blinder" is just deluded. I wonder what goes on inside your head.

Is it bolloks, it is so transparent it is hilarious.

And like i say, every other game in a season you might just say on the day of the match that we may get a result.

When it was Burnley last week and whenever it is Ipswich you announce on a daily basis how you expect us to win the game beause you are setting yourself up for the other side

Anyway, no matter, it isn't like we don't all see it after all these years.

You said we'd lose at Burnley. I said I fancied that we'd win, as I do feel we raise our game against the top sides. (I think that's how I put it.)

You seem to be tying yourself up in knots. Quite bizarre.

I don't think the side is good enough to win every game during the season, and few teams do, but that doesn't mean I can't hope for that.

Clearly you're deluded. I have to turn in now, so I'll leave you to your Walter Mitty world.
