We can't rule out the prospect of Jose trusting in the youth at the club (should he get the job) but you certainly can't point to his career to date as proof that he will, if anything it would be evidence that he won't.

I think we have to consider how many young talents has he wasted and did his.clubs want youngsters played before throwing this at him every time.

Cameo appearances and giving people a good run in the side are different things.

So actually, what we've established here is that Jose doesn't mind playing young players if he feels like they are good enough, even if you take Essien out of the conversation there's ample evidence that the "Jose doesn't play young players" line is bs.

I think it is more that he doesn't promote youth from within. Playing an 17-19 year old from the youth team is different from buying in a 20-23 year old player that has already proven themselves at a good level for another club.

Which was my original point, if they're good enough he'll play them, most managers don't promote 17-18 year old's from within the club, why this gets used as a stick to beat Jose with I don't know.

Also, didn't Jose promote youth team players when he was at FC Porto? The majority of that team were Portugese so I'm assuming some came through the ranks.

I will finish with this, Becks, Scholes, etc were not immediately world class players. They were given time to play and moulded into the players they eventually became

Under jose, they would have been sold as they were not "good enough" initially.

If that is what you guys want for Utd, I am very worried

You have no idea what Jose would have done with Becks, Scholes etc as he wasn't our manager then, it's purely hypothetical.

If he knew the board were willing to give him 10 years in the job he may have played them, he may not have done, he may have played Giggs up-front and G.Neville at centre-back, none of us know.

As for the Chelsea fans, who were these youngsters they had who could have done something in the first team? Carlton Cole? Scott Sinclair? Rowan Ince?

I remember a lot of them got excited about Josh Mceachran but he went out on loan to Swansea and couldn't get in their team and he's currently at 18th place Brentford in the Championship.

Also, why is just Jose getting stick for not promoting teenagers? Who did Scolari, Grant, Ancelotti and Di Matteo promote from the youth team? nobody.

The rest of the list cannot be taken seriously because of this, how the hell did Mourinho help Balotelli's career.

He basically sidelined him, not that I would use this to criticise Mou as Mario is a nutter but his name in that list shows it was wrote by someone clueless.
