Waghorn

I thought this would happen....Waghorn just come on sub for England under 21 and has scored a cracker. Not sure if I'm happy or annoyed for him as he has signed for Hull on loan last night...Thoughts??

He's not much use for us so why keep him. Let him have the chance to develope somewhere else, he deserves it. And i have no doubt he'll do well under pearson

I'm pleased for him, he's still our player and hope he has a great few months at Hull and then we take him back on top form.

Yes, good for him. We are still right to be loaning him out, though.

he's playing against boys in what is not much more than a kick about against another load of kids.

"Thoughts??"

Waghorn has looked pretty poor for us for a while now and the jury is out on whether he can live up to his initial potential when he first arrived under Pearson. What better way to prove his worth than play for the manager who previously got the best out of him.

If he's a success we can get him back or sell him for something closer to the exorbitant fee that we paid for him. If he flops we'll finally know, for sure, that he's not the player to take us forward.

Having seen the goal, it could be argued that:

- England were several goals up at the time.
- He received the ball in the kind of space you don't usually get afforded in the Championship.
- He tried to wallop the ball from anywhere, as usual.
- If you throw enough darts at a dartboard, eventually one will go in the bullseye.

Still, perhaps this is a little mean on him, and I'm sure he'll be happier at Hull under Pearson.

Happy for the player. Well done.

Firstly, well done for Waggy for scoring. However, as soon as I saw him in that position you knew he was going to shoot and 9 times out of 10 that would have gone into the stands (like we've seen here) but occasionally it will go in.

BTW, it looks like West Ham have got a cracker in Henri Lansbury
