Sturridge leaving Liverpool?

"@Jay_78_: Big chance Sturridge could leave #LFC this summer"

This guy has a decent track record when it comes to inside info on LFC matters.

He also said Benteke will be off this summer.

Selling Benteke makes sense, since he doesn't seem to fit Klopp's game plan and he needs first team football. But surely Sturridge needs to be kept? Perhaps him & Klopp have fallen out.

The rumours are that PSG will be scouting Sturridge at the Holland game tomorrow. But I can't see him moving abroad. Possibly a move to City, Arsenal or Chelsea?

I believe Gotze can also play across the front.

Lots of players can do a job up front if you're short

but at the end of the day you want a proper striker up front, not a 1 in 3 midfielder doing a job

If Sturridge wasn't so injury prone I would love him at Arsenal

When fit he is miles ahead of any English striker in the prem

I completely agree.

Selling a goal machine, creates more problems than it solves. I appreciate his injuries are frustrating, but I would like to see the club try to solve this issue rather than simply discarding him.

He is contracted to the club until 2019. No need to push him out the club at this juncture.

I don't think you can accuse the club of not trying to solve the issue.

Ok, a better choice of words should be to continue to look to solve the issue.

We are going to have money in the summer due to increased TV revenue? I don't think selling a player of such talent hastily is a wise move.. He still has plenty of time to run on his contract.

The club would be mad to let him go and I severely doubt they will unless he's fallen out with the manager.

7 goals in 690 minutes is crazy and he's not even been at his best.

I just trust Klopp.

He won't let him leave without good reason, and if it happens then that's good enough for me.

I think he will turn us into a top side and who the individuals are don't bother me.

Benteke first but you need a club willing to spend that money on him. Who would? Can't see Chelsea doing it under Conte

Sturridge needs to see how the rest of this season and next season goes. Clearly they'd be some unrest due to the criticism he's had for perhaps not playing through pain at times. However he needs to understand that he'd of got that at any club but fit and well he's the main man

Origi for me is still very raw and makes poor decisions but the talent is there. Ings I just don't see as top level. Why would we keep him on £50/60K a week when he's unlikely to play?

JK will buy another striker / wide attacker, just a question of who?

In terms of priorities we need the GK, CB x 2 and DM sorted out first. We desperately need some pace and dynamism in the middle of the pitch. Kante???

Agree with your points about Sturridge and Origi.

Ings for me looked very good prior to his injury and as long as he can recover physically after if, I can see him doing well under Klopp. His energetic style and pace means that he can do well for us.

A GK, a LB, a CM and a RWF is what I would like to see brought in. A player who can spot a pass, has some presence and composure in the middle of the park is what I really think we need. That and a new keeper.

Origi is not near the finished article, but the signs are promising. I like him.
