Kasper - one that got away?

He's an upgraded Silvestri. Never should have sold him.

He's also a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room. He's such an important character to have because like his Dad he's a winner. It's vital we hold onto him

Over the last 13 years we have never replaced the better players that we had with even better players, instead we've gone down the mediocrity route & that is the owners fault totally IMO ....kasper should never have been sold along with Delphi, Johnson, gradel, beckford,becchio, howson, snodgrass etc we should have been building for the future right from the start but the owners we have had didn't have a vision& the one that we have now is the same, an absolute waste of time

Was disappointed when Bates cashed in on Kasper.

Beckford was prolific for us and never seemed motivated anywhere else, made his big money and just never really looked interested. Having being a Leeds United hero, was just never going to top that again anywhere else.

I remember at the time a lot of Leeds fans were happy and thought Lonergan was better. I agree with Harj and if you'd kept all those players and built on it rather than the team being stripped, you could well be playing in the PL now.

I'd love to see Leeds back personally.

Was told that the sale was typical Bates. His contract had a clause increasing his wages, if he nailed down the first team shirt. He did and Bates' reaction was to circulate his availability at the end of that season.

Was worse than anyone has mentioned so far.

Grayson and/or Bates was quoted as saying Kasper was not good enough, they would/had replaced with better.

Shows how little they knew then.

We all knew they were blowing smoke at the time!
