Andy Carroll over Sturridge?

For the Euro's?

I know he had a freak good game against a poor Arsenal team but as a plan B do you think he deserves to go over Sturridge?

Like me know pals

You can't play bully boy football at International level. he would probably have been sent off at International level on Saturday.
I can see us using Carroll as our plan A, B and C when we are unable to pass the ball around the opposition and chasing a goal. My next is still creaking from watching big Sam's hoof ball tactics last season
Give me a more technical, versatile Sturridge anyday.

Carrol would have got sent off twice if that was an internation game.

Quite a few refs in other leagues would have sent him off for the 1st foul and the elbow to the face is an auto yellow in every other league.

Plus the numerous other fouls he commited but hey ho chit happens.

If engand play hoof ball then yeh take him but it would get you much in internation football.

It's crossed my mind actually but only because I'd rather Sturridge had the summer off.

Been playing on one leg all season and still has an insane strike rate and he looks sharper every game.

You'd have won the league if he'd stayed fit

Sturridge has not looked great since his return. If Carroll starts to hit some form then he'd be a useful option to have...but do we have any decent crosses of the ball in the squad. Sterling, Lalanna, the full backs.

So Studge's lack of form since coming back from injury is reason to dismiss him but IF Carroll hits some form he could be a good option to have.

What about if Studge hits some form what then? Still leave him behind

Studge on form is the best striker England have

Sterling, Lalanna, the full backs. Not sure were set up to make best use of Carrolls strength BUT vs Spurs Sturridge barely touched the ball in a game where Liverpool created plenty. He needs to be more effective

Sturridge has 5 in 9 since his return from about a year being out. That's pretty damn good I'd say.

We can`t rely on either of them to stay injury free through a tournament, I would prefer Walcott or Welbeck over these two as a 4th striker with Kane, Rooney and Vardy.

If Carroll is the form man for the next month then may be he's worth a punt. Sturridge is a class finisher and scores goals and will need to be in form to make sure he's on the plane, he certainly isn't a certain yet.
