Blackburn Rovers v Huddersfield Town
Sat 16 April 2016 15:00 Ewood Park
I received a request from Darn to do this thread for him. He is unable to do it, he told me he has to go away for a while, where there’s no internet. ‘Off the grid’, he told me, I hope he hasn’t gone and joined one of those religious sects!
It doesn’t seem that long ago when Jordan Rhodes packed up his footy bag and left for Blackburn, now he is plying his trade for Middlesbrough. Is he trying to 'sell' himself or ‘buy’ his way to the Premier League? A little bit what Blackburn Rovers did when they won the title.
This match is winnable, no doubt about that, but Town have been inconsistent all season, hence only now has the threat of relegation abated. Wagner wants Rovers to worry about Town’s attacking prowess and rightly so. He reorganised the team last week and didn’t have the defenders pushing too high, which worked a treat against Hull City. So, Town now have a Plan B, apparently. A Town win will see the Terriers squeeze a little higher up the table. Wagner’s aim is to finish above Leeds Utd, will they do it?
The top scorers for Rovers, if you can call them that, have bagged fifteen goals between them, four players! Wells has scored that many alone. I predict Rovers will come for a draw and sit back.
In regard to form, both teams almost mirror their last six games. Town only winning one more match than Rovers.
Rovers LLWLLD Town WLWLLD
Not much between them in all honesty, Rovers have been inconsistent too. However, I do expect Town to win, even though they are away. As long as Wagner sets them up properly, Town should have enough about them to beat Blackburn. If that VLP character can put on another display like he did against Hull City, then goals should be forthcoming. There may be another drubbing to the opponents of Town again this week, hopefully!
Alright, as mi mate Darn says, set ‘em alight the blue and white! 3-1 to Town with that VLP character scoring along with Wells and Scannell.
UTT! COYS!

Vardy, a striker will be kicking himself, Carroll a striker, will be kicking himself! That could be the title right there today!
As if it wasn't before, but Stoke v Spurs is a must win match for The Lilywhites.
