Ok fellow Scotland fans...whats the predicition for tomorrow ?
"Pain" as Mr.T said or celebration ?
I fear for us a bit. We have the players but we lack the managerial intent. I fear we will not set out as positive as we should be inthe "must win game" against a poor Czech team.
I fear Levein will go 4-1-4-1. Personally, given a choice with everyone match fit I'd go with sometihng like this...
4-3-2-1
McGregor
Hutton Caldwell Berra Bardsley
Fletcher Adam Morrison
Commons Naismith
S. Fletcher or Goodwillie
This would rip them apart as it has so much attacking potential from all over the park. Unfortunately Levein is a petty minded eejit. He should be getting S.Fletcher back in the squad. Goodie has started very well for Blackburn but wont start for us. Commons while not fit is still a big threat.
But I think Levein will go with
McGregor
Bardsley Caldwell Berra Crainey
Adam
Brown Fletcher Morrison Naismith
Miller
I still cannot fathom why we play Adam so deep when he scored 18goals for Blackpool from midefiel. He will never be a goalthreat playing in the role Levein gives him. THe midfield is too flat with no verstatility and only Naismith to link the play. We will become disjointed and miller will get isolated in this formation. I'm right behind the boys but I just fear Leveins inferiority complex and complete lack of bottle will cost us once more...
I've got everything crossed for a win tomorrow. Mon the Scotland...
I'll go for us to sneak it 1-0. Thoughts ?
Scotland team and predictions ?

....
Commons wasn't selected for the squad. He's in Marbella so he defo won't be playing!

The team will almost certainly be :-
McGregor
Hutton
Caldwell
Wilson (fast becoming a Levein favourite)
Bardsley
Morrison
Brown
Adam
Fletcher
Naismith
Miller
For me, I'd switch Berra in for Wilson, Dorrans in for Brown, have Fletcher sitting and try n get Adam n Dorrans forward more. I agree the "quarterback" role we deploy Adam in is not ideal.
I expect us to huff and puff for 70 mins, create very little then get a penalty which Miller will duly miss, pessimistic I know but I've been going to Scotland games long enough to know to expect nothing.
The brightside is, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we play well and pull off a victory.
Come on Scotland!!!

Agree Eddie. And lads I'm well aware of who is not selected and for what reasons. I'm just bemoaning what will probably be a lost opportunity to go for it from the first minute as opposed to waiting as usual until the 70th minute when well probably be 1 down. O want us to win this as much as anyone. However 4-6 is hard ti forget and Leveins idea of attacking is yo use 1 up top at home. In a must win game

Think that could be the one. Not sure about Fletchers fitness so keeping him in a holding position seems sensible.
1-0 with Naismith scoring from a deflection

Cannot agree more on your assessment of the Scotland manager.
And I can never forgive him for his 6-4-0000000 set-up.
But what was even more baffling was he went for it against Spain a couple of days later.
I am positive that had he reversed the tactics we might have got 4 points from those 2 games.
The guy is a diddy who has a high opinion of himself that is shared maybe by his mother, and possibly some demented D.U. fans.

Quebec Celt he only went for it against Spain because injuries forced him into it.
Without injuries Adam would not have played in that game. Levein is just another in a long line of dud managers. The difference this time is that he has a decent squad. The squad wasted on him. He is too small for the job. We have guys from the likes of Liverpool, A.Villa, West Brom, Wigan, Wolves, Sunderland, Rangers and Celtic and a manager from Dundee Utd. The man doesnt know what it means to win. He has never tasted success and sets his teams up like he is a Dundee Utd manager. I hope we sneak it tomorrow. But the fututre is not bright under Levein. We need someone with alot more experience and success at this level to take us forward. Someone like Dikk Advocaat or Wim Jansen who know the Scotland game but play it in a manner that pleases the eye and with a winners attitude

Im fairly certain we will get pumped tomorrow! Think ht-ft Czechs is worth a bet maybe even a win to nil for them!
Cmon you Czechs!!
