I think even Wenger now realises that the game has moved on and he hasn't. Thats even if you ignore the contribution made by David Dein in their partnership. This is where Fergie and Wenger differed. Both were ego driven maniacs but Fergie had enough humility and introspection to rely on others. Wenger is French.

Maureen is nothing short of a mercenary. He wold take the Arsenal job the minute it was offered if only to prove that Wenger is indeed the 'specialist in failure' the Maureen called him.

If Maureen was so loyal to Chelsea or had any principles at all, he wouldn't even contemplate moving to United 'out of respect'.

It's got to a point that Wenger will now be equally remembered for the invincibles and the failure of the last 10 years.

Maureen, like Wenger, is an ego, he only cares about himself. Doubt he really cares about Chelsea.

Defensively we are at times shocking. I know Wenger says big teams should not set out to defend and I agree with that, but no matter how good you are, opposition teams will create chances in a game even if they lump it up the field from the goalkeeper half a dozen times a game.

We could not contain Drogba and though he was a great player, Liverpool for example handled him well at times. We never learnt. Andy Carroll we could not contain and could not stop the crosses to him. Performances where we lose 4-0 to Southampton worry me. It is not the loss, but the score that I find baffling.
