I have listened to this guy for many years now on TalkSports. He has specifically and consistently dug Arsenal out as a moronic club with deluded fans, over paid lazy and unworthy players (such as Ozil, Giroud, Sanchez to name but a few) at every opportunity. He holds up standards for Arsenal that he does not do with other clubs and concludes that Arsenal is Joke. He has features designed for the ridicule of Arsenal such as the 'Daily Arsenal' and recently rewrote the lyrics to the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' to lambaste Wenger. If an Arsenal fan rings up to challenge any of his points, he uses the advantage of having the air of publicity to override what one has said and says something like "Typical Gooner, they've all got chips on their shoulders."
Although there are many undeniable facts that Durham makes regarding our lack of success over the years, only a deluded fool would think he has Arsenal's well being at heart with the spotlight he continues to focus on the club. It therefore baffles me when so called Arsenal fans ring up his show to agree with any point that he has made. It is just like hearing a Spurs supporter bag Arsenal and going over to agree with them! Even if in your heart of hearts you agree with them, you never tell them!
I have heard that Durham actually has the gaul to go to the Emirates to watch Arsenal matches. I would really like to see Gooners who see him at the Emirates to take him to task (verbally) for his comments and make him feel unwelcome. I for one am sick of his vitriol!

I have listened to a total of probably less than 5 minutes of this idiot. Its people like the OP and the idiots who phone in who keep him in a job. If the listeners turned him off he would soon be out of a job.
He is also exactly the sort of person who will google himself and get off on any mention of his name. Articles like this will probably have him jazzing over himself, so I recommend you give him the attention he deserves (none) and go about your life all the happier for not listening to his drivel and helping keep him on the air.

I think it is misguided to say don't listen to him. Firstly I should have the freedom to listen to who ever I like without the fear of abuse. Secondly just because you divert your attention away from abuse doesn't mean that it is going to go away. As you know, the best way to deal with abuse is to challenge and confront it. Lastly, I feel that I am knowledgeable enough to know the difference between the truth and the truth as Durham sees it, but there are feeble minded fans who are not as confident. These fans believe the hype and they fester amongst the ranks of other Gooners. So my friends, it not just harmless banter.

I think gooner baiting is quite easy as gooners get easily wound up, but maybe their is more to Durham than meets the ear.

The OP should induldge in a little spot of Meditation,listen to "Ocean Themes" and start reading Roy of the Rovers all over again in order to put Football into perspective and to banish Adrian Durham from his listening menu.
If he thinks Durham is bad,then he has obviously not listened to that clown Mick Quinn,his love in of liverpool and his constant attacks on Everton.
He is treated as a joke pundit and as a constant source of amusement and pity by all Evertonians.

Durham is just after bites. The OP posting this is a massive bite and he will be smug because of it, if he does google himself and sees it as I previously suggested.
And to suggest there are gooners who believe his drivel is insulting to even the dim witted. As you said, the best way to deal with abuse is to challenge and confront it. But when you are dealing with someone who just wants to get a bite and have an argument whatever you say its not confronting it imo, but adding fuel to it.
And finally, yes you are free to listen to it, but you are wound up enough to post about it on here. You say you are sick of listening to it but then say you WANT to listen to it. Sounds like youre the one with the problem.
