McLaren: 1st big upgrades coming for Spain

Team boss Eric Boullier said key F1 rivals have already noticed the progress McLaren is making.

The first big chassis step is coming for Barcelona, he revealed, arguing that McLaren is already “behind Williams and Toro Rosso" in the pecking order.

I really want to see McLaren back up there competing with the Mercs and Ferrari at the top. Hopefully next year with the change of rules, and car designs, they will be. Just hope Honda can provide them with a competitive engine.

Honda have not provided a competitive engine in F1 since they were BAR Honda

Will not hold my breath

Never know...Honda might be able to produce a decent engine....eventually.

I can see why McLaren parted from Mercedes, since they become a customer team rather than works, they were never gonna be challenging being second to Mercedes.

McLaren caused the problem as they broke their agreement with Mercedes and started building their own cars and engines

That's what prompted Mercedes to bring in their own team
