Why, Spurs didn`t spend that this year, and finished top four. I think Chelsea need to spend double that to make the top four again.

Why, Spurs didn`t spend that this year, and finished top four. I think Chelsea need to spend double that to make the top four again.

Because United City will be back, Chelsea too and Klopp will be able to build his own side at Pool.

Plus teams have sussed Spurs out, you are playing CL and will have more injured tired players next season after Euro 2016.

You only got fifth and 62 points with a better squad in 10/11. And the league will be tougher next year

You can't put a ball park figure of £100m and say that will guarantee top four and to do well inn the champs league.

Alli, Dier, and Alderweireld cost about £20m altogether , its all about getting the right players not about wether they cost £30m each.

I could say the same about Mahrez and Kante. United proved that spending £250m under LVG dosent guarantee success.

The league will definitely be tougher next season. I just hope the £60m budget isn't just paper talk.

To be honest all this nonsense about spending £100 million to get in the top four, if Spurs have to spend that then the clubs chasing them will have to spends treble that. Despite the poor finish, Spurs have finished a countrymile in front of Chelsea, Liverpool even United. The league does not lie, Spurs are rightfully in the top three for the whole of the season`s efforts.

Yes we have had a disappointing end to the season but we have still been better than the Manchester clubs and Chelsea.

Those clubs need major surgery to their first team mainly due to ageing players. We need squad depth with players who will acclimatise easier by not being first choice,

Spurs need to strengthen the squad, the absolute first XI is the best in the Prem for me.

He's done this kind of thing with team selection before ..... remember Dortmund?
So today he runs out Mason, Carroll, Davies and gets stung 2-0 by half-time.
So then he tries to save the match with half-time changes. Wot happens? They go down to 10 men.
Chance?? Oh yes, Walker gets injured & taken off for Chadli.
Yup ... 2-1 becomes 5-1 against the 10 men.
Why??
I think because nobody runs back faster than Walker.

Today might be a suggestion as to where Rafa Benitez should be next year!
