Part of a defence that conceded 13 in his 4 Champions League starts, including 3 against Olympiakos and 2 v Zagreb in the awful start to the group stage. Sat out the 2-0 v Bayern, but returned for the 5-1 hammering. Coincidence?
I like players who come from abroad to come in January. Gives them 6 months to settle. Gabriel had this, and now a full season. Still looks a bad player.
With all the talk of players leaving, I think we should cut our losses on Gabriel and send him back to Spain.

He's been quite convincing at CB for Hull. They weren't quite sure of his natural position in the beginning though.

Really not sure what games you watched, but he has exclusively played in midfield for Hull.

Yes, I had high hopes for Gabriel when he first arrived but I tend to agree with D'Jeezus here, I'm not convinced now that he is going to overcome all these deficiencies - there are so many...

He is another result of Wengers miser mentality. We are stuck with players like him, Giroud, Ramsey, Walcott, Welbeck, etc, etc who are not genuine top class players.

Gabriel is decent enough for what he is - 3rd choice CB. There was some hope he could step up and displace Mertesacker but he looks to be just short of the quality required

not sure why chambers wasnt given a chance, rather see him in the team than Gabriel.
