Reports are startnig to circulate that he has been offered or is about to be offered a bumper pay rise to stay at Arsenal.
If its true its a good sign that Arsenal want to keep our best players, but even so I am not sure its in his interests to stay. I'm sure he could earn that somewhere else and, lets be honest, there are several problems that need fixing in the team before he is likely to be challenging for the PL and CL with us.
For starters, how happy do you think he is going from playing with the likes of CR at RM to OG at Arsenal? He has already been reported to have stalled on a new contract and I would not blame him for wanting to leave although I would much prefer he stays. I think signing a top class striker would go a long way to keeping him.
What do you think?
Is he worth £200k a week?
What would it take to persuade him Arsenal ids the best place for him?
Should we just csh in on him while we can?
Ozil to be offered £200k a week

If he goes and Sanchez goes who looks like he's chucked it goes. Arsenal are done.

I honestly wouldn't mind if Sanchez was to leave (as long as we get a replacement).
Good player but definitely don't suit our style.

I dont think he will go. Arsenal would be mad to let him go if they are serious about winning the big prizes.
a top CF in front of him, with a decent winger and he will be our best player.
plenty of more pressing issues to look at.

Tbf, Lucas - he's pretty much our best player without those things.

Arsenal's best player is Sanchez. Without him Arsene Wenger would have sacked.
David Silva > Ozil.

200k is a "fair" wage for a player of his ability (obviously a ridiculous wage that no footballer should earn but in todays game I mean...)
He's constantly let down by our refusal to invest in a competent CF so it'll be a pleasant surprise if he accepts a new deal at Arsenal.

Ozil was a flop the first two seasons. Now he's had a good first half of the season and a sheite second half
I for one don't care if he goes cause 4 months of good football in 3 years I'm afraid doesn't cut it

Always get the feeling Ozil is quite comfortable at Arsenal, not really pushed like he was at Madrid, the fans like him, earning a good salary. I don't think many other players of the same ability would be considering giving us a 4th season
Like you say, I think if he is considering his options, getting a top striker in early on this transfer window would probably sway him.
