Counter Article to the Ridiculous "JFK"

As the Celtic faithful claim to know they're history and all the while demonstrating an obsession with Rangers.

Fact No 1) The, We Are The People phrase or chant is actually stuff of legend relating away back to the ship yards days.

Abbreviation 1:

As in God's people. To demonstrate their superiority over their rivals. Often chanted.

2: Psalms 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people (WATP) of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice.

3: We Are The People as in We are the Workers again related to the ship yards

This phrase was passed down by the older generations.

Now relating to your views on the first point of your article,

I'm going to express why like myself and the Rangers support are rightfully a bitter lot and yes we will never forget, and believe me when i say this, you will never understand the hurt and the unnecessary path that Rangers FC were sent on.

Firstly,

After the dose of reality and seeing the vulture like creatures trying to get they're hands on a troubled club that supposedly owed the taxman up to a hundred million pound plus of unpaid tax expertly covered by the media, who'd have known were all this financial know how and figures were accumulated.

The truth of the matter is Rangers were doing fantastic with falling debts and a member of Lioyds bank on the board. Debt total £18M

It's clear now that MIH were in a mess and Rangers were a pawn in MIH's future.

But, this is what bother's me why the sudden hastiness to close down a business that generates upwards of £20M per year.

The PHANTOM BILL "Big Case" was still on going while Whyte was in charge why on earth didn't HMRC not do a Lioyds and have someone on the board making sure that Tax & PAYE were up to date???? But that wasn't to be was it. Whyte ran up a date of £14M, thats it.

That chain of events was detrimental, the process taking by various bodies was shameful, because it was "Rangers" the hysteria the motivation by certain factions to have us dead and buried before any outcome was evident.

This part to my view may P off many people, but like i said earlier i had a dose of reality.

Rangers are not a big club, and that goes for Celtic too. Both clubs have incredible following but thats it.

It was evident for me seeing guys of the quality of Whyte and Green and even Ashley trying to bail us out.

Where were the guys that we needed in our hour of need? it could have been different and HMRC's approach with the Big and small Tax cases could have been different also. Yes Murray has partial blame in (my) opinion, but so does the Footballing authorities in questioning whyte.

a chain of events led Rangers, its following and those associated with the club to receive some unforgettable abuse in the workplace and in society in general, if Scottish football wasn't already bad enough.

I love my Club, i love the support and admittedly there are factions i dislike also. Rangers are a great club in my opinion and like Celtic we have a long way to go before we are big clubs.

The success of Leicester this year and they're popularity in Asia and beyond has put Scottish football and the Old Firm further down the pecking order. Fans like Desmond and King are our whack, i don't see wealthy business owners from Russia or else where looking to invest the sums of money that we all dream of.

I've said for a while now that we need to disband the SFA and come under the umbrella of the English FA and let them run Scottish football creating the British football association. I know your thinking that'll never happen i agree, Scottish football is much like politics in this country, both at a cross roads. We need more respect and unity within the UK, particularly with those that want out of the union. Allowing Scottish football to develop and be included in the English leagues might actually save the union i believe. but that's a question for another day.

JFK, i don't know you, but you and many like you are part of the problem with football in this country and respectfully i respect your opinion.

That was both shorter and more readable, I actually like the thought or the workers letting the gaffers know whats what
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes in the day the conditions were sub human and the workers anted it understood they were people and deserved better

The view of it being somehow a chant of superiority couldn't be further from the truth given the origins are quite the opposite
That view only came to light in the 60s and was for the most part an expression of inferiority felt by some generally those who found themselves below even the working classes
