Yea great CV but consider who he has played for, all teams significantly better than Arsenal. Also consider that between Theo, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Cazorla and Rosicky, not one player who wants to play central has succeeded for us on the wings so why would Gotze be any do different? We need a striker and a CB, we don't need to dish out big money on another luxury player we will end up trying to shoehorn into the team.

No, we needed Ozil as he was clearly better than what we have and didn't replace Cesc. If Ozil left the Gotze would be a good replacement

The very reliable SZ (Süddeutsche Zeitung) reporting that the main problem why Götze decided to stay and not moving to Liverpool is that they dont have international Football next season.

He was still at Dortmund when Bayern won the 2013 CL as well.
