Skrtel to Fenerbahce?

According to reports in the Guardian, it looks as though Skrtel is about to move to Fenerbahce in a £5.5 mil deal.
Not too gutted to be honest. He has been well below par and has been a bit of a liability for the last couple of seasons, but if he does go I wish him the best of luck for the rest of his career.

I agree, been a liability for past 18 months, however £5.5m is a lot of money, considering his replacement was FOC. Means we have net spend of about £4.5m so far...

Good luck to Skrtel though, him and Agger together were legends..

Suprised he's off to Turkey and no prem team is taking a gamble on him. Good luck to him. Been a very good servant.

Good luck to him. He hasn't been good enough for us so not a huge loss tbh.

Not a surprise and not a disappointment. Whilst I don't think he's as bad as some posters do, we had his best years and the last 18 months haven't been great.

It's clear that Klopp didn't rate him so glad he gets to continue his career elsewhere. Best of luck to him.

Wish him the best of luck but glad he's gone. He was so poor against Watford and Southampton. Easily out muscled by Ighalo and Long/Pele.

He had a bad injury at City earlry in 2008/2009 season. He was out for long. Agger and Carragher were then the CB pair and then went on a good run and finished second.

He was good at attacking the ball when we had a corner or set play but poor and won't jump when defending because he was looking at the players and not the ball. Poor decisions, giving away bookings, red cards, penalties, free kicks and own goals. He wasn't quick just like Carragher and Hyypia but Carragher and Hyypia had brains and good position sense.

Not surprised no PL teams wanted him.

Really good player for us, thanks Martin, best to part ways now though.

Great servabt to the club for the past 9 seasons. Always gave 100%, put his body on the line for the club, never a single moment of off field controversy. A good player who was totally committed to the club.

Hope he does well in turkey and also scores the winner against England in France

It is the right time for him to go. He has become more and more error prone recently and his display against Southampton when we lost a 2-0 lead decided it for me. He is never far from a moment of madness, such as his crazy challenge against Wales for Slovakia. He has been a good player for us overall, but he has lost it for me now.
