Was at the top of his game for just over a whole season. Really good before that. One bad season and now he's not consistent? I'd take that over consistently average players any day.

They will struggle against well organised teams, don't see them beating Spain or Germany

What other top players have done that though? I'm not doubting his talent but if a player can be as anonymous as he was this season then I think it's fair to have some level of concern. The season before he was great, before that inconsistent. If he wants to be playing for one of the best clubs in the world (which many have suggested he can) then he needs to be more consistent and not go missing as much as he has recently.

Been poor throughout most of the tournament but Hungary made it so exceptionally easy for him tonight. So much much time and space for him to operate in.
