Gareth Bale was right

Wales are in the quarterfinals of the euros , having played with such passion and pride for their country.

And just like Bale said before the tournament started , England's overpaid , over hyped rubbish "stars" played with absolutely no passion or pride in a big match at a major tournament ... yet again

But let's make no mistakes about this. It's just not the lack of passion , it's especially the lack of TALENT within our national team set up.

Bale has been proven right after all

And even then PSG still don't usually do any better than the premier league sides in the CL.

The siggurdsons were very good,

Don't see what it's got to do with you at all Aussie anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I dunno, it's just hilarious seeing you slate United players like Park, Welbeck and Carrick over the years and now defend Iceland saying they have 'handy' players.

You're the gift that keeps on giving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You may not be familiar with what handy means.

It does not mean world beater.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But you called Welbeck and co 'awful'. Why the double standards?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Because welbek is awful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No, he's handy
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's a striker who's scared about 18 goals his whole life.

Utter dross
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never change Stretty, never change
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I won't.

Why would I? It's factual he's a terrible footballer

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Other than beating a poor England side please tell me what these handy Icelandic players have ever done?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How's that relevant. Most are still better than wekbeck who's done nothing

I'd love to see how many of the Iceland players you'd call handy if United signed them Stretty. This is why people laugh at you so much. You call Welbeck awful, despite him playing for United and then signing for Arsenal, yet suggest that several of the Iceland team are handy? With the exception of Siggurdson, none of them will ever reach Welbeck's level. And he isn't even that good, but certainly not awful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't want any Iceland players at Utd

I expect better

It's not like they can transfer other players in though idiot
-------

What are you blathering on about? What has not being able to transfer players got to do with anything? Are you high?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The point is you window licker, that just because I would not want them playing for Utd, doesn't mean they don't have a couple of handy players.

He's got 14 for England.

Most against San Mariano and the like.

TBH I'd attribute a large part of the difference with Wales being their defensive style and how committed they all are to it. You saw against England their style of play, even against N Ireland they hardly dominated.

With that they just need to nick the odd goal and Bale is class and capable of doing it for them quite often.

England have something of a reputation, so teams are more likely to sit back against us and the fans wouldn't accept how boring we would be.

In qualifying Wales only started to struggle later on, I remember for example watching them against a pretty poor Israel team who at this point realised Wales had racked up quite a few points so sat back against them and then they struggled.

And yet none of them have achieved what Welbeck has in the game or played for as good teams he has. But he is awful and they are handy.

Big part of the problem is the players are literally sh1ttign themselves taking to the pitch for England, why? Because of the reaction and backlash they get to losing, just look at this and the multiple articles on here absoltely slating them, calling them every negative football related term one can think of.

As soon as it went 1-1 they froze, they're already seeing the headlines, you're you own worst enemies

That fear stems not only from the past, but also the manger's inability to instill the players with any belief. When you consider that Roy had written his resignation statement prior to kick off for a game against Iceland, is it any wonder that the players don't have any belief? How can such a negative man inspire his players?

Good point Elvis Roy has stolen a career as a manager he's a fraud

I don't think there is a lack of passion, more that the players crack under the pressure when it matters.
