New Signings

The Euros got a little bit in the way of talking about Brewers signings so time to get back on track.

At the end of last season I thought our first priority was in signing strikers. This was closely followed by midfielders. However, due recognition was given to the fact that additions were needed throughout the squad.

We seemed to start with defenders and it was a good start in signing Ben Turner. Proven Championship experience. Ditto Kyle McFadzean. My thoughts turned to it perhaps being a strategy of us being a difficult team to beat.

Then we turned our attention to the midfield and signed Jackson Irvine. An Australian international no less. I have watched him on YouTube and he looks absolute class. Brilliant signing. He will be a fans favourite and may be one who uses his stay at the Brewers as a stepping stone to playing at a higher level.

A striker next, Chris O'Grady on loan for the season. A journeyman with 14 previous clubs to his name. At some he has been on fire and at others not. Hopefully he will shine with us.

I reckon the next signing will be Jay Tabb.
