4th sub in FA Cup

Your thoughts on the trail that's been confirmed for this seasons FA cup. The trial is to have a 4th sub in the latter stages of the FA Cup in extra time. I've always believed in having a 4th sub for extra time, pity its only for the latter stages so again it will benefit mostly the big boys. But still a good idea. What do ye think?

Not sure i do.

A football manager should manage the game.

You know ET is a reality.

Manage the team and game properly, everybody is in the same position.

The fourth Champions league spot should also be given to the winners of the FA Cup.

If extra time is a possibility the manager should take that into consideration with his 3 subs, would prefer it to stay the same as it is but it's not a massive change.

Agree to an extent BO$$ but I think that such as the nature of the game now days a bit of unsportsmanship could come into it, if a tactic clearly isn't working from the off a player could get an 'injury' and the manager allowed a free sub

Maybe I'm just a cynic.

ive never liked the fact that a team can possibly have to play shorthanded because of injury. but of course your right mike, managers would abuse the rule.

I also think injured or sent off keeper changes shouldn't count as a sub. The more players that get a game the better surely. A full subs bench like the euro championships have would also be good.

Why that?..

An injury maybe, but a sending off?..

So, last minute off the game and your winning by one, a cert goal coming for the other side because their player has rounded you, what do you do?..

Why not hack his legs off and take a red, its ok your reserve keeper will take your place!.

Boy would that be fun for anyone that loses because off it!.

I love seeing a player have a go in goal when a team has used all their subs and a keeper gets sent off/injured

John O'Shea wasn't that bad either, a true jack of all trades

That, I do agree with. At least then 2 of the teams in the "champions league" will actually be champions
