Indian selectors

Indian selectors have some sort of regional bias, and its clearly from them keeping on chosing the same players that probably have a record of failing..... They replace tendulkar with bad-rinath.... I mean can they not get over with selecting, sreesanth, vijay, mithun, saha, badrinath, anirudh and mukund....Have nothing against south indian players if they perform, but from what I have seen none have performed..... All this south indian players have a very good record in the first class game but their international record is suprising to say the least.....

do you think they are worse than the australian selectors? because they are extremeley incompetant.

well i do think these current selectors are worse than any selectors in the world..... They are not ready to give youngsters that deserve their chance....they choice of selection they have made in this tour is I guess unanswerable.... I bet even they have no answer to why they selected rp, jadeja for gambhir.
I exactly dont know who selects the final playing 11 for a match but raina got way too many chances in the tests......

i was looking on cricinfo the other day, and there are some very good youngsters, particularly batsmen, coming through for india. there was one, i forget his name, who averages over 60 in indian domestic first class cricket, but i don't know how good a gauge that is, considering mukund averages over 50 in indian domestic first class cricket, and he looked hopeless this summer. what i'm saying with this is maybe it is quite difficult to predict which players will adapt to test cricket and which will not for the indian selectors.

also, i think raina is in the team as much for his part time bowling as for his batting.

yh that is point i was making jezzer... The southindian players have a very good first class record but they somehow fail in the big stage.... Rahane has a very good first class average and is looking class apart.... Ofcourse its too early to judge but I think he will surely make into the test squad
