Hernandez

I can't decide whether he's a player totally finished or just getting back to full sharpness.

You can tell he's had class, whether he's still go it is another matter

Never known a player constantly give the ball away as much as he did in the two home games.

I think we'd have got beat if he had of started on Saturday in the middle, so well done monk on that.

I don't see where he fits in at the moment but i am still hopefull once he's fully fit and played in the RIGHT position that he might be a major player for us.

What's other people views and so you think he's be signed permanently in jan

Never in his career has be been a game controlling central midfielder. He's played 90% of his career as a winger and then they've tried to turn him into a number 10 in the latter years of his career.

For me he's got 2 good feet, great technical ability as you'd expect from a Spanish international and can offer us something different to what we've got in the current team.

Obviously he's past his best or he'd still be playing in the prem or at a team like Valencia, but think he can still play a big role.

Don't think Monk did him any favours playing him in a holding midfield role.

Hard to say whether he'll be a useful sub or a starter at this stage. In a 4-4-2 then for me he has to either play left wing or on the bench. If we play 4-2-3-1 then for me he's the only number 10 option we've got...maybe Mowatt.

Will we sign him? Not sure. He'll have to prove his worth because I imagine he'd be one of the higher earners at the club, which may be better used elsewhere come January.

I expect him to start tonight.

like monk said about him, he pretty much plays forwards always, isnt afraid to try something.

result - he loses the ball a fair bit.

solution - dont play him in front of the back 4, its inviting trouble.

most effective up the field, sliding balls in behind, crossing etc.

Will be a big player when fit and if played in his correct position.

Yeah and wen we signed him everyone was saying his correct position was on the wing.

Then when people saw him an realised he probably didn't have the physical ability to do it anymore all of a sudden he was a number 10.

People just making excuses for him.

Don't remember anyone thinking he was a winger, I thought he'd always been a number 10.

Hernandez has been quite poor in the matches I've seen him play so far - lost the ball more than retained it.

But, as Harrogate has hinted, if you watch the guy (not just through a TV lens) you can see he's got far more to offer. I think he's still finding his feet and range with passes. Players around him will benefit in the long run I suspect.

He's also got bags of experience at a much higher level, that can't be a bad thing to have within the squad - especially for the younger players.

He needs to be played much further forward from what I've seen - he can take on players and not be caught out/lose possession in his own half if it doesn't work.

I think he'll be fine - and he does offer something different, or at least I hope he will given time.

If you watched the Fleetwood game then you know where he should played, simple as

I'm interested to see how he plays with Bridcutt
in the side. Bridcutt was the difference in the
Wendies game. He will allow everyone else to
play forward. Which is Pablo's happy place.

Playing Bridcutt and Hernandez together wouldn't work. There would be no sense of balance to the team.
