Champions League draw

The CL draw looking a little different this year with plenty of different teams from across the continent with 1 or 2 surprises in there as well. Also, different scenario's for all the clubs.

Lets start with Leicester City. Been given a favourable draw. Whether or not that suits them because of their style of play from last season, I don't know but they are well within a shout of qualifying now. Porto will be their toughest test I feel but I don't see any reason why they can't progress past Club Brugge and FC Copenhagen. I think Leicester will finish 2nd in that group.

Following on are, Spurs. First season back in the CL for a while and they've been handed a very competitive group and arguably a group of death. Not much to separate any of those sides really. Moscow will be a tough place to visit away and Leverkusen are no pushovers and Monaco you could say are the most difficult team to play, but beatable. Spurs have a good chance of qualifying from that group, but if they underperform they could be out of Europe altogether. Although I thinhk they will take 2nd.

Next up we will go onto Arsenal. Been handed a tough test with PSG, a very formidable force now on the European stage and one I feel are a dark horse for thr tournament this time now, even without Ibra. other than that, I expect them to brush aside Basel and Ludogorets really in that group I feel, maybe not so simplistically, but they should be progressing. But again 2nd place in their group for me.

Last, but not least with finish with Man City. Guardiola been drawn against his old side Barca which will obviously make the headlines there. Again, we all know their quality, very tough team to face, but no reason why City can't win this group, especially with the very early start they've made. BMG could prove a difficult side, but I think City have enough quality to see past them and should be beating Celtic as well there. 2nd place again though.

We will give them a small mention, Celtic making their return to the competition this season as huge underdogs in their group with City, Barca and BMG. I don't expect any real surprises but hopefully they will get a result against Barca like a few years ago. But sorry Celtic fans, I think you will be 4th this time around.

If the Admins could multiboard this to the teams in bold that aren't already listed, that would be great.

Perfect time to buy Calhanoglu and weaken an opponent in the process

Should be topping the group for Spurs. I suspect we will struggle but it is a comfortable group.

Monaco are doing well and have a great coach but are playing in an incredibly poor league. They look much better than they are. Leverkusen are a good side but not better than us and Cska horrible place to go but we should have enough quality to get past them.

I think Arsenal have got a difficult group I really do ludogrets is a horrid place to go, Basel are looking exceptional at the minute and always play good football. Psg should top that group under cup specialist unai emery.

There will be no excuses for Arsenal not to do well in this group. PSG are the weakest Of The so called big sides unlike previous years when we have had Munich in our group there is a good chance of finishing top. Spurs got a decent draw could of been worse but it will be tough especially for a group of players who have little experience playing the competition.

Don't really see why Leicester can't win that group, Porto are nothing special and aren't as good as teams we'll face in the PL so nothing to fear from them.

Arsenal and City to finish 2nd in their groups and I don't see why Spurs can't win theirs either. Yeah CSKA will be tough away but they don't travel too well and I'd expect Spurs to beat them at home as well as Bayer Leverkusen so if they can get a draw in Moscow and also at Leverkusen then they should win the group.

PSG have lost Ibra, probably Matuidi too, and Cavani so far this season doesn't look like stepping up to the plate - really think we could/should be topping this group.

Good to see Leicester getting a nice draw, they should get through, albeit playing in Europe is always trickier than it looks, better sides have crashed out in easier groups - Porto will top that one I reckon.

PSG still lost Zlatan and possibly Matuidi but they've brought in Krychowiak, Jese and probably someone else too. Plus their manager is better and done amazingly well with Seville in Europe.

I think PSG are dark horses for this tournament. They have a quality side. Still think they are missing something but they are well capable of reaching the SF's this year.
